Yep Watson will look at that and say “awesome! Taylor is gonna help this team get back on the right track while sitting on the bench behind me, now I’ll come back to the team and play!”
-
Not exactly but I do recall TD saying several times that he’d never play anywhere but Carolina then he went to the Chargers and the Skins...
-
Not relevant. They used a relatively significant amount of cap space on another QB. Watson will not be happy about that at all.
-
Damn fug that. That makes me angry, he’s probably gonna put up 10 TDs there
-
You do realize them using this much cap space on a QB will piss off Watson even more and make it more likely that he’ll cement himself further in his stance of never playing for the team again? If the Texans were convinced they could wait Watson out or still try to make amends with him they would not do this deal, they’d look to improve the roster around him. He’s as good as gone, just a matter of time and how ugly it gets.
-
Yeah Texans clearly see the writing on the wall with Watson. This signing will also only just piss him off more and further cement his position. He’s getting traded before the draft, is my guess
-
Too late, they’ve already spent all their money lol. Either Jags or returning to Carolina on a 1-3 year deal is my guess.

That was one of those trades where everyone lost...

Trey Lance on nfl network as if 12pm est

I would be happy with Lance at 8. I prefer that to trading up for Wilson, but my ideal draft QB is Fields, however we get him. -
Cam never had a fully healthy year with DJ Moore. The 1 year he had with McC and Samuel, both barely played because Rivera

Well, the "smartest coach in the NHL" is also a very questionable GM at times, so it might not tell us what he thinks it tells us...

We already have DJ Moore...

ohhhhhhh boy. sounds like watson is getting traded. per jim trotter

He’s better but age factors in too, same with Rodgers though. Only QB I’m taking over Watson right now is Mahomes. Herbert’s pretty close but still a small sample size. -
I don’t think he’s coming back but this picture doesn’t really mean anything... Gronk looked relatively tiny for a period of time during his retirement. It’s not that hard for these guys to get back into game shape if they want to. Luke doesn’t seem the type to change his mind though, he’s more like Sanders, Megatron, Luck, etc. than Gronk or Favre
-
Yes please, in a heartbeat. He has been one of the best, most consistent LTs in the league since like his 2nd year and will likely come at a slight discount due to his injury. Worth betting on him bouncing back if you ask me.

The Saints are still $55M over the cap after multiple moves
t96 replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
They don't really have much to show for it though. 1 SB win (that was gifted to them after katrina) with an all time great QB and above average HC... They were mediocre until that historic 2017 draft saved their asses and even still they haven't been back to the SB since then. -
I think a deal along the lines of 4 years $48M with a significant amount guaranteed could be good for both sides. Maybe less total money than he wants but guarantees can outweigh that and since it's only 4 years he can cash in again while still in his prime at 30. A lot for us to pay but could be much worse and it's a shorter deal too so that helps alleviate the risk if his play drops off at some point in the future.
-
Yeah I'd prefer a rookie (Fields ideally) but I'm not adamantly against going for Watson, just depends on the price. If we do make the trade, even if we pay way more than I'd like, I'd still be absolutely pumped and excited for the future having an elite QB here and I'd just have to hope Rhule and Fits can make it work to build around him with less assets. Either way the meltdown here on both sides would be a sight to see...
-
Considering we play them just 3x a year in normal years, that record can't be right... But I would think our record against them has been pretty damn good lately, they haven't been good before this year and even now that they are good we're 3-0-1 against them...

Good, unless it's an intentional smokescreen, then bad
