  1. He was drafted ahead based on potential because of his size and speed. His route running and explosiveness was (and still is) nowhere near Beckham's. And while his hands weren't/aren't bad, Beckham's were the best in the draft. Of course Beckham was a much better prospect and that's shown by how each performed their rookie year. And don't even start on how good each rookie WR's "situation" was. Beckham's stats were not a product of some "great situation." He was thrust into the #1 WR role after Cruz' injury and was the sole threat on that offense, drawing double coverage every snap. If you watched the film of him and other WRs, you'd see that Beckham had a truly elite year. I hesitate to call him elite because of the small sample size, but last year was no fluke. Beckham excels in all the different aspects of being a WR. A pro bowl QB who had a 57.5% completion percentage, 6.9 yards per attempt, 18 to 27 TD to INT ratio the year before...
  2. Watkins was never more explosive or better at route running, and his hands were not as good. How was his situation any worse than Beckham's? Or Evans'?
  3. I don't agree with JJ that DG thinks it's our #1 need. OT is our #1 need first and foremost. That could possibly not be the case depending on Oher and Martin but since they're unknown it's our #1 need. DE is definitely our #2 need in my opinion. Roman played solid enough down the stretch when the other pieces were all in place that, while SS is a need, it's not a priority. And WR2 in our offense just isn't super important compared to how important DE is in Rivera's system. I would be shocked if we don't draft a DE in the first 3 rounds.
  4. So now he's got his options the decision should come pretty soon.
  5. Thomas is better than both Chacnellor and Sherman. And Bobby Wagner may even be more important than any of the DBs as well. The unit as a whole is what's so huge. KJ Wright is a beast as well and their front 4 is no 2013 Panthers but they hold their own. And Lynch is that entire offense. If I'm them, I'm not paying Wilson a dime over $18M/year with less than $40M guaranteed. Too risky the way he's built and how he runs, and that he's not the reason for their success. If they give him some massive $20M/year deal fully guaranteed every Seattle fan should puke.
  6. This scares me because they'll be able to keep the elite D in tact and probably be able to sustain success with a different mediocre QB who's not demanding outrageous money.
  7. Trade back into the 2nd picking up an extra 3rd, take Agholor then Ogbuehi at 57 = heaven.
  8. With the 25th overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers select.... Landon Collins, safety, Alabama (tears of joy fill the arena as Collins stumbles to the stage and promises a Super Bowl win)
  9. You're not taking into account his achilles injury. Since then he's lost all the explosiveness he ever had, and is slower now than Jennings is even at his age.
  10. If he was actually a number 2 he'd have had over a dozen teams interested in him, and for even more then $3M. Crab frankly isn't that good.
  11. Not for $3M possibly $5M. Philly has wayyyyyy more upside and room to improve than him anyways.
  12. Add to the list of 150 players that won't be there at 25.
  13. Both the original poster and the reply are stupid.
  14. Him visiting Jax is news and either deserves it's own thread or for this to be bumped.
  15. I think it's more about finding the right situation for his family than it is about money.
  16. Let's hope it's his last visit and he'll make his decision soon.
  17. I don't use social media, can I still play?
