from Person this morning, regarding Richardson: The Florida quarterback with the Cam Newton-like physiqueremains under consideration by the Panthers, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. You Young lovers better not get too comfortable. Lol

I hope CJ makes 15 straight pro bowls and makes these people look stupid. It’s disgusting how people put these kids business out there like that, if it is even true. No way to verify it.
-
True - have to take a swing at it.

And, they both may bust. Such a gamble when taking these guys so high, especially after the haul we gave to get to #1.
-
Some argue that Young is at his ceiling now. Not sure how you could know that either way, though.

We are in the “everyone is lying” zone of pre-draft

At some point, they will make an offer. It may be when we are on the clock, but it's coming. The question is, do we take it.

All you Youngsters may get your way. I hope you don’t regret it a few years from now. Many analysts believe that Stroud is a better fit for the Panthers and has a higher ceiling, even those who think Young is better right now. We will see. I think we will all be pulling for whomever gets picked and hope he is an All-Pro.

Kind of like when it moved a lot after the trade.

Would you hear if he had been unimpressive? lol

Excellent...the smokescreen is working as planned.

If we don't go this route, I am afraid we will regret it.

I would not pay attention to the betting lines until the week of the 24th. It shifted about 2-3 days before the draft last year.
-
Yep, a sudden wave of info...almost as if it was intentionally done.
-
It may be Bryce in 2 weeks, but if I was a franchise trying to convince another franchise I was going to take their beloved QB, this is how I would leak info. I bet Houston is really nervous right now after thinking the last month we were taking Stroud. That nervousness is what makes teams give up draft capital.

Albert Breer's insights on the Panthers and other Top 10 teams
Wolfcop replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think he is making some assumptions based on what he put in that article. Even so, he admits its not a done a done deal, like you said. -
Peter King: Bryce Young inching closer to Carolina
Wolfcop replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If the Texans are opposed to taking Stroud, things could get very interesting with a trade. Hopefully it would be worth that #12 to them. Could you imagine?? -
ESPN’s Matt Miller inside info on Panthers #1 pick

I certainly get that. He is tiny and that will be more pronounced on the next levels -
Peter King: Bryce Young inching closer to Carolina

Seems like a smokescreen to me. Guess we will find out in 2 weeks. -

“Think of the defensive coordinators he’ll face, and how much they’ll emphasize putting good hits on him. I don’t see how that’s not a big factor when you put a grade on him.” Think of 6-8 Calais Campbell and 6-3 David Onyemata bull-rushing Young on the Atlanta defensive front—Campbell has 10 inches and 110 pounds on Young.” scary
