interesting off season plan from Reddit
ECHornet replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The deep draft class may drive the price down on free agent RBs. If I could get Javonte Williams to come home for 3 years/~11mil, I think I take it. I’m aware he doesn’t look like the same player prior to his knee injury, but the guy is only 24 years old. I think he’d be a great pairing with Chuba. If Brooks shows he’s healthy and productive in 2026, Javonte’s contract would be easy to move for a pick at the deadline with 1.5 years left. -

Do you have reason to believe he wants out of Charlotte? I haven’t seen anything like that rumored. -
BREAKING: Myles Garrett Requests Trade from CLE
ECHornet replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
He says he’s chasing a Super Bowl. Our only pitch is the weakness of our division makes anyone a playoff contender, and highlight our offensive progress. Plus, our defense was decimated last year and adding D Brown and Garrett solves a lot of our issues. With that said, I put us around the 21st most likely to team to trade for him. -
Everyone Pushing to Draft Yet Another WR Early
ECHornet replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is a very short sighted take. Theilen is here one more year tops. As soon as 2026, or possibly sooner if we trade Theilen to a contender next season, our WR core could be WR1 Tet, WR2 XL, Slot Coker. Possibly switch XL and Coker. That’s a strong young trio to grow with our QB who is younger than most of this season’s rookie QBs. -
[PNP] Interview with Carolina Panthers WR Jalen Coker
ECHornet replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Theilen has had such a good career. Steady as they come and brings in some of the toughest catches. -
If you mean no, as in no way this is logically happening on draft night, then I agree.

Would do backflips:

Panthers sign players to futures contracts

Kaimon Rucker reminds me of Basham a bit. -
Can’t see Caleb Williams and DJ Moore leading the Bears to the Super Bowl, no matter who’s the head coach.

[The Athletic] Panthers’ offseason to-do list
ECHornet replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
That’s a really good breakdown with plausible solutions too. I’m most interested in what we decide to do with Moton this offseason. -
Went for leverage at OT in this draft: With contract discussions needed for both Icky and Moton this year, it would help tremendously to add rookie Jones to the mix. If either of the two on our current roster have unreasonable demands, we’ve secured our OL. We need to be grooming Moton’s replacement anyway. Also hope that we just drafted one or two immediate starters at the safety positions.
-
Sure, they are. Raiders roster is pitiful. They have the best young TE in the game. He’s probably the best TE period. Other than Bowers and Maxx Crosby (28yo at start of next season), what makes their roster special?
-
Can’t remember, but I almost restarted that mock right then since I agree with you. I like how the rest of it went though. Higgins reminds me if Michael Pittman a bit.
-
Ked Woolley set the standard. Only way I’d be excited about a DaBaby drop would be if Ked was incorporated.
-
We’re likely going to bring in more FA help than we’ll lose, so I don’t see compensatory pick factoring in for us this offseason. I also don’t think Diontae will receive a large contract after he was a hot potato all year.
-
Keep him until the draft, unless you can trade him for a 5th rounder or something, and then release him if we can address the position with a rookie.
-
I think we all agree we’re happy with the investments at the G positions. Still difficult to look at our WR/TE positions and not wonder what Bryce would look like with elite talents there. Defense was extremely banged up. It’s ugly to look at though which matches the eye test.
-
If Bryce gets some continuity with Dave over the next few years, I think he can approach his ceiling as a Drew Brees type. Brees got the ball out quick and had elite accuracy. Bryce has that capability. He made great strides this year, and finding his comfort zone is going to enable the fast processing he was known for coming into the NFL. It’s nice to feel like we have a head coach who can get the most out of their players for a change.

So a Ben Johnson led Commanders team likely had Sam Howell throwing to Scary Terry and MHJ or Nabers. I think Johnson would have made that work well, but Commanders fans are happy with Daniels. Let’s see how that looks potentially without KK.
-
Why? Bryce wasn’t good with him.
-
Told ya there was someone. Not going to lie, I secretly thought it too. Haha Until you think about how much better Bryce was without him.
-
Someone somewhere is still thinking they can get him on a bargain deal and it will work for them.
-
Maybe you and Diontae misplaced them in the same spot?
