You are selling Smith short by not acknowledging his numbers. Go check all time receiving yards and all purpose yards for receivers. If I remember correctly he’s I think #3 all time behind only Jerry Rice and Tim Brown for all purpose yards. It’s crazy how everybody acts like he’s some fringe guy that needs to wait his turn. The HOF should have been publicly shamed for putting Andre Johnson in ahead of him.

On the huddle, you’re either Jerry Rice or you’re worthless. He came into the season as the #4/5 receiver but Coker got injured and XL shat the bed. Could be a lot worse than David Moore.

So you watched a 9 play 61yd TD drive in which the QB was 5/7 for 40+yds and a TD run and were like “what a terrible drive”?

Eh, that stat makes it look worse than it was and I suspect you know that. At least a couple of those were 3rd and 10yds+ one at the end of the half that we converted that was called back for holding then the coaches decided to run the clock with a 3rd and 15 run play. Another towards the end of the game we were just playing safe to kick the fg. 2 of those ended up being 4th down conversions. And then there was at least one or two 3rd downs that we converted on penalties that aren’t included in your stat.

Nah we rattled them. All forced errors. They couldn’t handle all the noise at BOA. They were confused by all of our exotic looks and our players just physically dominated them across the board… Wishful thinking but I do feel confident the truth is somewhere in between and the team deserves at least a little more credit than you’re giving them.

There’s always going to be missed opportunities, and yeah I saw some errors from everybody, but it was overall a good day and you’d think we lost this game instead of winning 30-0. First possession TD. Second possession killed by holding and Bryce didn’t complete the 3rd and 7 which is a down and distance that literally nobody in the league expects a high percentage conversion rate. 3rd possession FG, fourth possession Bryce gets the first down but it’s called back by a hold and coaches decide to run clock at the end of the half so basically 3 real first half possessions and the offense scores on 2 of 3 with no 3 and outs. That’s good efficiency just limited opportunities. 2nd half starts with Bryce Young throwing a first down then 2 bad runs and we’re asking our QB to convert a 3rd and 10. Yeah it would be nice if it happened but I don’t expect a high conversion rate from basically anybody. Following offensive possessions go FG, TD, FG. The offense scored on 5 of 7 real (not end of half/end of game) possessions.

I think some of these whiners didn’t watch the game. Offense actually looked pretty decent. Helped set the tone in the first half with a first possession TD. Didn’t get a ton of possessions before the lead was built. Muffed punt gave the falcons an extra possession. Pick 6 ball goes back to falcons. The main drive killers I remember were from holding penalties on the OL, not on the QB. They scored 10 in the first half on just 4 possessions and the final possession was killed by a hold penalty and coaches decided to run clock.

Meohrig was a good signing.
