  1. That team started out 1-3 and there was fuging blood in the water. The Panthers had just poo the fuging bed in Arizona coming out of a bye. They beat the hell out of the Cardinals but lost due to a hideous offensive gameplan. This was after starting 1-6 the season before, including one of the most gut wrenching regular season losses in team history that involved a 4th and short and a certain undersized safety. There were constant threads about firing rivera. In retrospect I don't think anyone can say that Rivera didn't come into a better situation. I mean yes he drafted Cam but that was a no brainer, and also a consolation pick. The team was also better when he inherited it, especially what ruhle inherited. And yet thinks are far more hostile now than they were then. So why is that? Obviously this was a decade ago, the internet as a whole had not yet grown as caustic. Why is Ruhle different?
  2. Seifert just straight didn't give a poo, got rid of his best qb after 2000, and completely checked out after the redskins game.
  3. So i really don't think this is that big of a deal. I'm not sure it changes much of anything for the team that wasn't going to be changed anyway. I think, barring something unforeseen, Ruhle is going to be back and this doesn't really change that. next year will be a make or break. I think this does mean that he and brady have very differing views of how the rest of the season should play out. There's been sniping in the media previously that indicated they haven't been on the same page for much of the season. If I had to guess, I'd say that ruhle probably just wants to run out the year and didn't think Brady would do that.
  4. i mean they literally need SOMEONE to do the job right now they're not bringing anyone from outside the organization in at this point to run someone else's offense
  5. obviously the big programs CAN outspend an NFL team, as we've seen, but I don't know if Oklahoma has that kind of scratch. It would make sense though with their impending switch to the SEC.
  6. well if he's going back to college this year he has to go now.
  7. USC buying homes for coach's families is fine, but players families?
  8. the entire premise of this thread is that the coachign staff wanted to murder was able to build a stud defense through the draft and free agency you're just like pointing out what im saying
  9. brown is a bust YGM is good but can't stay on the field Chinn is part of probably the best secondary in the league. Not sure he is big enough to survive at LB. Don't hate moving him to DB. He's all over the field, just doesn't show up to the casual fan who doesn't know what he's watching
  10. almost like a sinking offense pulls the defense down with it no one except the most hot take poisoned of posters would say the defense isn't being killed by the offense, but hey man that's something you need to work through on your own
  11. Cousins threw the best pass of his life if the offense doesn't spend the game shitting on themselves it doesn't require miracles.
  12. well its a good thing the coaching staff was blessed by the defense talent fairy and they didnt draft those players
  13. maybe WFT, sure. But as I said Heineke just went saiyan on them. Philly? Panthers defense ended that game how many times? Not their fault the panthers offense couldn't hold on to the ball. and when in the world could they close it out against minnesota? was it when the panthers were down 17-25 going into the fourth?
  14. not much defenses can do when the offense cant stay on the field. overall stats don't lie redskins game was an entire game of gameshark passes from heineke
  15. they built this defense. Players on this defense from 2019 are who, Burns, jackson and Thompson? Overall, is anyone really complaining about the defense? Careful what you wish for...
  16. panthers were last in the league for offense AND defense in 2001
  17. people that post poo like this are really showing when they started following the panthers you think this is bad? have i got a couple seasons for ya...
  18. fwiw i bet new england could have gotten similar production out of someone like David Sims.
  19. he definitely looks leaner, but i wouldn't be surprised if that was an intentional choice. it's just difficult for someone that size to keep that mass on and not have a bunch of nagging injuries. Zion Williamson is an obvious example of this. Roethlisberger is a different example of this because he stayed by just getting fat. I doubt it's effected his arm strength though as that is more structural than a question of mass moving mass.
