Assuming it's done do you select a qb this year or wait?
rodeo replied to Panthero's topic in Carolina Panthers
Get a QB. Just look at the Bucs of a few years ago. A nobody, nothing team who got Tom Brady, made a few signings around him, and won the Super Bowl. If there's a special talent in the draft at QB, then get him. I don't know if there is or not tbf, I don't follow the college game. -
He made billions in government bailout money by buying debt and dying stocks from the '08 recession, and then getting billions of our tax dollars handed to him. He's a welfare queen.

The defense allowed first drive touchdowns both games, before Bryce even got on the field. We definitely will not be good. Just better.

Could we change the sidebar image to something else?
rodeo replied to MRenshaw's topic in Carolina Panthers
Everybody who is put in the sidebar ends up either traded or a disaster. It's the new Madden Curse. -
I gotta say I still don't care for a lot of Hudders' inclination to go after Bryce's size in times like this. If anything I think he proved that his size didn't really matter. He is physically tough as nails and to give credit where it's due, every time he was flattened by a DE he popped back up. He unfortunately sucks as a player and if he was 6'5'' 230lbs, he would still suck. Sure he has to hop to throw a screen and might struggle to see the field, but those are issues that can be overcome. Unfortunately I think his problems are mental, which is worse.

It seems like it, honestly. Looking back, some signs like the combine and his weird weight hijinx should have been bigger red flags. Refusing to participate but doing a secret weigh-in where he weighed clearly 30 lbs more than he ever had before, etc. I gave him more chances than 95% of the huddle but seeing him return to the field this year having regressed was the end for me

Does anyone else think our receivers ball out now?
rodeo replied to Gapanthersfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm very curious what the offense looks like. All those upgrades like the OL and DIontae and XL actually getting a chance with a real NFL arm throwing to them could be interesting. I still don't expect to win much, seeing as how in both games we've fallen apart before Bryce even got on the field, but I'm curious. -
No worries, I won't let it spam. I'm also curious what it has to say but in a day or two I'm sure it'll be rebanned.
-
Sure why not. We can just ban it again if it gets annoying again.

You don't have enough Faith clearly

They got into the film room and watched what actually happened and it left them only 1 option. Hopefully he can have another try after a season or two of learning.

Worse To Watch: Jimmy Clausen Era or Bryce Young Era?
rodeo replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce is far worse. Clausen had confidence in himself, maybe too much confidence, and had no qualms about chucking a ball down field to be intercepted. Bryce plays scared and won't throw the ball beyond the LOS, which is far more boring to watch. -
That was honestly a pretty good throw from Bryce, credit where it's due. Right on the money and bold, just threw to a shitty player who doesn't know how to be physical and prevent a DB from being a weighted comfort blanket all over him.

He had control, he had 2 steps, but I dont think he had the 'football move' part.
-
I understand that emotions might lead you to believe that but the box scores tell the story of two equally irrelevant players on two teams getting squashed.
-
Brown and Burns have the same number of tackles and sacks today.
-
Bryce put the team on his back and single handedly carries us into the endzone. Great stuff
-
.....huh? The ball was fumbled in the endzone. That was a bizarre ref call
-
Bryce juking Cam Jordan is our Super Bowl

Nice play Jackson

Does anyone actually think Bryce will actually be good?
rodeo replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
Having no fear of the deep ball won't exactly work in their favor when XL is yanking deep balls out of the air. -
Russ did not have some immaculate deep ball on the Seahawks. In fact most of his deep passes were wobblers that his receivers made adjustments for in a way that Mingo could not even dream about. Bryce threw some beautiful deep balls to Jameson Williams at Alabama. Now that he has a couple NFL quality receivers (hopefully), he should be fine running that scheme. People said all this exact same poo about Tua after year 1. He can't throw deep, he has a weak arm, etc. Then they signed Tyreek Hill and suddenly he had a great deep ball. Amazing how that works.
