  1. Could be as simple as asking Reich why he was wasting every single first down with a run up the middle. Title is misleading.
  2. If teams just trade for equal value now why don't we just trade our 7th rounders for the next 3,000 years for the #1 overall picks?
  3. I wouldn't be opposed to a pass catching speedy RB early in the draft. A lot of Bryce's magic at Alabama was escaping pressure and finding Gibbs as an outlet.
  4. This. People are underestimating the value of pick 33. That's a fugin first rounder basically. Somebody from the first round is going to fall to 33. Trading that away just for an extra mid-2nd next year is so damn stupid to me.
  5. We come out behind in 2024 draft value in this trade. Instead of picking up someone who absolutely will have a 1st round grade at pick 33, we're swapping them for a future middle of the round 2nd rounder next year. It's just a dumb trade. Trading a quarter for 2 dimes, when we're in the middle of a rebuild.
  6. Swapping picks just for a second next year is fuging hilarious. Trading down is for suckers.
  7. This dude is going to whiff on so many tackles in the NFL. Takes like 10 seconds to drag the QB down on every sack, and in the open field relies on thumping and never wraps up.
  8. Mingo has never jumped or fought for a ball in his Panthers career. You guys seeing him in Legette are wild.
  9. It has strangely always felt inevitable that Clowney would be a Panther some day. The vibes were always there. Even after the board tried to force "downey for Clowney" as a follow up to "suck for Luck" and it felt almost as cringe and forced than this year's "Gerber" thing.
  10. Shaq just announced he's changing from #7 back to #54. Mike Williams and Clowney both wore #7 in college. Could mean something, could mean nothing.
  11. I know the team has plenty of holes but I wouldn't even be mad if they double dip on WRs with the two 2nd round picks.
  12. Probably more like 85%. Not even 99.9% of Huddlers were happy to see Cam win MVP. Sunk cost fallacy will be a thing, some people have decided that Bryce will never be good, so even if he becomes good they'll have to convince themselves he's not to save face.
  13. Brad Nortman was also pretty good for us in the 6th round. If you gave me the choice between drafting a solid punter in round 6 or having Justin Fields, I would pick the punter every time.
  14. The Bears are still going to be 4th in their division so who gives a poo
  15. He was one of the least open receivers in the league by a wide margin. Check out our new guy all the way on the other side of the chart.
  16. Same. Something that made Wilson so great in Seattle is that he could lob up a wounded duck and his WRs would come back to the ball and fight for it and come down with it. If Bryce did that it's an automatic pick 6. He needs some dogs throwing elbows trying to help him out.
  17. Looks like he's a solid route runner. Not blazing speed and doesn't have a lot of separation even in his highlights but doesn't seem to need it. He fights for the ball which is something Carolina desperately lacks.
  18. 36 year old coming off an achilles tear and was never all that good in the first place. Doesn't scare me.
  19. Reminds me of the headlines from this time last year. "DeAndre Hopkins will only sign for a Super Bowl contender."
  20. People listed all the same reasons Deandre Hopkins wouldn't come here last year. We're irrelevant, we don't have a great QB, he'll only sign for a Super Bowl contender, etc. And then he signed to play for one of a small handful of teams equally irrelevant as the Panthers to be thrown to by Ryan Tannehill. Big name players don't always sign for the top teams.
  21. I think after only 1 rookie season the chances are much greater than, for example, when David Carr left the Texans after 4 years of getting his ass ate and people thought we'd magically fix him.
  22. That's definitely reason to be optimistic. Tbh the main thing separating Wilson on the Seahawks and Bryce Young was that Wilson could close his eyes and throw up a wobbler, and one of his WRs would actually break off his route and come back for the ball and come down with the catch. If BY did similar it would be ugly.
