  1. On oldnorthbanter.com I predicted 13-3 before the start of preseason and adjusted to 12-4 after losing Kelvin Benjamin.
  2. It was already the best in the league so that is why I didn't understand it but I hope all the picks work out for us because I am a die hard Carolina Panthers fan.
  3. No doubt we will have the best LB group but we already had the best before the draft. Still thought we should of went somewhere else with the 1st round pick but the two picks after are looking good and I feel better about Funchess.
  4. I still dislike the 1st round pick but the two after it are solid picks that make us better at positions we needed to get better at.
  5. Seattle will be able to cover our WRs and TE no doubt about it.
  6. SMH we needed speed at WR and an OT going into the draft and we draft a LB in 1st and trade our 3rd and 6th round pick along with our 2nd round pick to move up to pick a TE. SMH.
  7. All I am saying is next season I will be on here to say I told you so when the offense is still being stiff armed and going 3 and out because no one has the speed to beat the coverage and make them respect it.
  8. We needed speed and again the organization does not realize this. There were possibilities in the 1st round and early second but Funchess is not fast and a TE type player. Teams are still going to find it easy to defend us with no one to break the coverage deep.
  9. Are any of them quick because that is truly what the offense was missing and anyone who watched the games last year understood that teams were able to move up into the box a lot and had no worries of being beat deep.
  10. Yeah MORE DEFENSE so now we can watch our defense get tired after all those 3 and outs from our putrid offense.
  11. I think TD has a few more years and could of been replaced in next year's draft. I am just lost on why LB was a priority when the glaring weakness on this team for anyone with eye sight and hell even hearing was the offense. We ran the ball decent but our passing game sucked and caused a lot of problems with Cam being coverage sacked. Hate to beat that dead horse on the WR position or the OT (which OT was depleted by our pick) but it is the truth when looking at this team.
  12. I think there are still a lot of knowledgeable people on here and I see them including those who like the pick. I think the pick was a good pick if we needed a LB but we did not and there was a WR available that could of helped us a ton more by being a legitimate weapon opposite of Benjamin. Cam has had ONE pick for him since he has been in Carolina that has actually been to give him more offensive stability. Benjamin was a great pick and I think Shaq will be a great player but the pick will be a head scratcher in my mind with the current roster we have.
  13. If you think Boykin or Ginn are going to fill that number two WR spot then I do not think we will ever see eye to eye when it comes to why this team has lost games. We lose games because and ONLY because our offense is so putrid. Even a great defense needs a offense that can put up some points.
  14. If you think the number two WR position has been addressed I will be sure to bring that up half way through next season when Cam is getting coverage sacked and people on here are like WTF is wrong with our offense.
  15. All people like me are asking when questioning the pick is are you going to be the one to say WTF half way through next season when our offense is putrid and we are losing because of it?
  16. I can now post the Jim Carrey meme correct? lol I do not see Smith lasting that long and he is truly the last speedy receiver that is any good in my opinion.
  17. If you think our offense is better than I think you just need to go back in time and watch last year's games and you will see how putrid our offense was. Adding Ginn for returning helps our STs play but not our offense as a whole. We should of went Perriman or Smith at WR.
  18. Here is a creative response maybe both picks were not needed?
  19. Either Perriman or Smith and as far as speed receivers go they were the best in this draft in my opinion. Anyone can be wrong and I do not doubt the talent of Shaq he is a great player but not anywhere near our biggest need.
  20. I think the best speed receivers (our biggest need outside of OT) is done. We had some options there and instead we chose to ignore Cam and pick a player (who is talented by the way I do not doubt it) at a position we are the strongest at.
  21. I doubt it but we will see no doubt he has talent but a faster WR who could stretch the field will fit better with getting past Seattle than another LB at our strongest position. Just agree to disagree and when the offense is struggling to move the ball against because no WR can break the coverage deep we will all be like WTF.
  22. When that offense is struggling to move the ball like last year I will be bumping this as well so you can see what offense or lack thereof does to a team. I like his talent and do not doubt it but not a position we needed. Even the so called "experts" were like WTF?
  23. It will get them closer than we will come if we can not move the ball against Seattle. Seattle will run stuff and then dare us to throw and without weapons to throw to Cam will get picked off because nobody is open. I do not trust Stewart to stay healthy and there were other picks here that made more sense than picking at a player at our strongest position.
