  1. If Carolina was going in house, Wes Miller was the only option.
  2. Schools have little to no involvement with the conference schedule, out of conference sure, but not conference. Mack Brown has already come out and complained about the way Carolina’s 2023 ACC football schedule is lined up.
  3. A lot of very shifty wide outs in this class: Downs, Flowers, Dell, and another one that came out of nowhere at the shrine bowl and lit up everyone he matched up with, Demario Douglas. I remember watching Douglas when looking at Malik Willis, the kid can ball.
  4. I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Canes also look for someone who can play the wing in a top six role but is maybe a third line winger in a perfect world. Patches was going to be 1RW and Jarvis was going to get bumped down to the fourth line but obviously the injury occurred. With over $10M to spend, I think 2C is the most important position followed by 1RW, and then 3LD. So all in all, I’d like to see the Canes look something like this: Teravainen - Aho - Trade Svechnikov - Trade - Necas Martinook - Staal - Fast Noesen - Kotkaniemi - Jarvis Stepan - Stastny Slavin - Burns Skjei - Pesce de Haan - Chatfield Trade Andersen Raanta I’m half expecting Coghlan to remain with the Canes so that might take us out of the market for a third pairing LHD but as far as our top six goes, I’m starting to get on board with a trade with St. Louis that could land us O’Reilly and Barbashev. The Canes could lineup like: Svechnikov - Aho - Teravainen Barbashev - O’Reilly - Necas Martinook - Staal - Fast Noesen - Kotkaniemi - Jarvis Just spitballing some ideas but I definitely think two additional pieces are needed.
  5. Looks like Boeser is going to be on the move soon and while I’m not a big fan his because he’s overpaid by quite a bit and slow; I wouldn’t be totally shocked to see Carolina approach Vancouver and take on all of Boeser’s contract along with the first round pick that Vancouver just acquired for Horvat in exchange for a second round pick.
  6. Detroit probably isn’t moving Larkin but if they did I’d give up a lot for him, I just think he’s the prototypical RBA player.
  7. Jaycob Megna traded to Seattle from San Jose for a 4th rounder. I actually thought Megna would be a good addition for the Canes as he could rotate with de Haan but oh well.
  8. Evero is very familiar with #21 on the list. 21. DI DRE'MONT JONES, DENVER BRONCOS Contract Projection: Four years, $58 million ($14.5M per year); $37.5 million total guaranteed Jones still has room to round out his game, but the value of an interior pass rusher has never been more apparent than during the 2022 season, and that’s exactly where Jones wins. Since he entered the league in 2019, Jones’ 138 quarterback pressures are tied for the 19th most among interior defenders, with his 14.5% pass-rush win rate ranking 11th best over the span. Jones set career highs in snaps played, quarterback pressures and stops this season. Players with his skill set don’t hit free agency too often, and teams looking for a 3-4 defensive end will be very interested in bringing him aboard this March.
  9. Would love to see him bring FA, Dre’Mont Jones with him.
  10. Wonder if Evero can bring Dre’Mont Jones with him, he’d be a good addition to the DL.
  11. Was thinking the same thing, wonder if Evero takes the job if Burns isn’t here.
  12. Larkin could step right in and replace Larkin. I don’t want to trade Jarvis but for Larkin I would.
  13. Looks like this years preseason is going better than last years. Results so far: Charlotte 1 - Vancouver 1 (Goal by Vargas) Charlotte 3 - D.C. United 2 (Goals by Vargas, Gaines, and Swiderski) Charlotte 1 - LA Galaxy 1 (Goal by Mello)
  14. Guess that means Horvat won’t be flipped again lol.
  15. I’d actually give up a lot for Larkin. I’m not sure there’s a better fit as far as a player meshing with a system than there is with Larkin and Carolina. 1st, Jarvis, Morrow, and a B prospect like Suzuki for an extended Larkin.
  16. Our only hope is that there’s a ‘snow storm’ and that Duke can’t make the trip.
  17. For better or worse both programs like to keep in the family.
  18. Carolina fuged up in keeping it in the family, Nate Oats should have taken over for Roy.
  19. Think it says more about Hubert having no idea what he’s doing. The smart play is to move Bacot out to the free throw line and pull Lively out from under the basket.
  20. Bacot and his cylinder block feet have been invisible.
  21. Good Lord man… get Nance out of there.
