Nice win by Navy over Gus Malzahn and #20 UCF. UCF was nearly a 16 point favorite.

Michigan is really good defensively but Illinois is exposing their offense a bit, would love to see Illinois pull off the upset.

I had Steffen over Johnson, Tillman over Roldan, Pepi over Ferreira, and Pefok over Morris. Unfortunately, Long has to be on the roster. Robinson and Richards are hurt and Berhalter hates Brooks. Our CB depth is atrocious. Maybe you take McKenzie over Long but regardless, the depth is still horrid. If I had to put together a depth chart for the current roster, I’d go: GK - Turner, Horvath, Johnson RB - Dest, Yedlin, Moore RCB - Zimmerman, Long LCB - Ream, Carter-Vickers LB - Robinson, Scally CDM - Adams, Acosta CM - McKennie, Roldan ACM - Musah, de la Torre RW - Aaronson, Reyna ST - Weah, Sargent, Wright, Ferreira LW - Pulisic, Morris I think Weah gets the surprise start at striker, I just don’t see a way that you can start Sargent, Wright or Ferreira. Even though Weah isn’t a pure striker, I think you have to try your best to put the best 11 on the pitch. Reyna, Sargent, Wright, and Acosta (if we are trying to protect a lead) all provide decent depth off the bench.

Nothing else is on tonight so I guess I’ll watch the Hornets lol.

He was the worst player on the court, GW players included. Carolina probably loses without Pete Nance.

Carolina’s got an issue, most talent of any team in the country but from the sound of it (message board rumors), there’s a bit of inner turmoil going on. That’s a problem you run into when you have four guys trying to improve their draft stock but there’s only one basketball to go around. It’s a little different than a Kentucky situation where most of their freshmen are expected to get drafted, but worst case scenario, a few come back for their sophomore season. Carolina has a bunch of juniors and seniors who are realizing that this is their last chance to try and make the NBA.

Bottom line is that he needs to play more, he’s an RFA at the end of the year so the Canes need to figure out if he can be at the very least a backup. I like what I’m seeing from Kochetkov but I’d keep all three goalies as of right now. Maybe move Andersen at the deadline if Kochetkov proves he can be a number one.

Fast deserves an assist on that one, hopefully they give it to him, nice shot by Svech.

Jordan Martinook has 9 points (4 goals and 5 assists) in 16 games, a 46 point pace over 82 games. I’ll eat my crow on this one, Martinook has been good this year.

That’s another point for Martinook as he gets an assist.

The fact that Lajoie is playing when Coghlan is healthy speaks volumes of Rod’s opinion of Coghlan right now.

I hate that call, just because the stick gets parallel doesn’t mean it’s a hook. I despise seeing players get rewarded for pinning the opposing players stick to their body with their elbow.

Martinook is on pace for 41 points this year, only three points off the 44 that Nino put up on Staal’s wing last year.
