Officials trying to keep this one close after calling a phantom foul that took away two points on LaMelo’s backboard pass to McDaniels.

Actually I can’t tell if they are on the bench. I thought they were back in Charlotte but I can only identify Ish Smith and Vernon Carey as players on the bench who haven’t played.

If they keep this up then Bouknight and Jones will see some extended minutes.

Melo will go for 40 tonight if the guys push him. I think he’s too unselfish to just jack up shots like Anthony Edwards but he’s in the zone right now.

I hate using the term “must win” but with the schedule we have coming up, we can’t be losing to bottom feeders. After dropping five games on our Ohio/California road trip, winning five straight would be huge.

Great point here. Staal’s line dominated the last eight minutes of the game just moving the puck behind the net from one side to the other. This team knows how to finish.

Going to be a battle but this is the best line-up we’ve iced all season.

I personally like McDaniels more than P.J. He’s on a cheaper contract and he just looks like a more impactful player. If P.J. isn’t scoring he doesn’t seem to provide a whole lot. It would be nice if the Hornets could use P.J. to upgrade the center position.
