I hate what the transfer portal has become but in this situation I don’t understand how he’s ineligible. - As you mentioned, the rule was changed after he transferred. - While he was enrolled at NCCU with the intent to play football that never happened due to Covid; so he’s only played at Kent State. - He transferred back home to play at UNC, it wasn’t like he transferred to Georgia or some national title contender and is trying to pick up a championship. He transferred back home to be close to a family member that’s ill. - He has a documented health issue that he received treatment for at Kent State but transferring back home allows him to not only get better help from the UNC Health Care system but he’ll be close to his family. Even if Walker would have went to State or Duke I’d feel the same way, he should be able to play. The NCAA are a bunch of crooks.

Obviously no Tez Walker for Carolina as his appeal was ridiculously denied. But Drake Maye will have Nate McCollum tonight.

I’m interested to see Maye with his two top wide outs. Tez Walker is a league guy, he had 11 TD’s in 12 games last year and nearly 1,000 receiving yards. At 6-3, Maye can just toss up the ball in his general direction and Walker will come down with it. Then you have Nate McCollum who is Josh Downs lite. He put up 650 receiving yards in a triple option offense at Georgia Tech. There’s a decent chance he goes over 1,000 receiving yards for the year if he suits up starting this weekend. It’s all been reported that he runs a 4.41 40, the kid can fly.

Personal opinion but I think Brandon Streeter was blamed for a lot of Clemson’s offensive issues when in fact he wasn’t the issue.

Probably bad for a team like FSU, they play Clemson in three weeks and if they were able to add another top 15 win to their resume it would be huge.

I don’t think Duke is as bad as people think they are and I certainly think Clemson is overrated. Klubnik only played significant snaps in two games. He beat up on a bad UNC defense and got beat up on by a good Tennessee team. This situation could play out very similar to the way the DJ Uiagalelei situation played out. Uiagalelei looked good filling in for Trevor Lawrence but as teams started to get more film on him we found out that he wasn’t nearly as good as we thought he was.
