This Sunday is going to be very interesting and will answer a lot of questions.

What's the best way to split RB carries?
Castavar replied to Khaki Lackey's topic in Carolina Panthers
Start Rico. Don't take him off the field until he asks to come off. Let Chuba spell him until Rico catches his breath then put him back out there. -
So let me get this straight. You claim that if Bryce can set his feet, he can "throw the ball 55-60 yards air yards and do it accurately" per you. You then send my college highlights (even though Bryce has been in the NFL going on 3 years), and then send me his "highlights" last year where his longest completed pass was only 35 yards? You can't be serious right now.

Bryce Young - High Ankle Sprain, out minimum 1 week
Castavar replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
People act like this changes the gameplan for our offense lol It's still (or should be) going to be handing the ball off to Dowdle and playing good defense. Hell, Dalton might be good for 3 deep shots as well. -
You telling me you don't miss the Byron Bell days?

Panthers have the 3rd leading rusher in NFL
Castavar replied to Pantherxtreme's topic in Carolina Panthers
Very good point. Even with our double trouble, DeAngelo was our smaller shiftier back who could break it loose and J-Stew was our power, early down back who could tire our a defense. Both Dowdle and Chuba need touches to really get into a rhythm, which won't happen if Canales rotates them every other series. It just isn't going to work the way it is designed right now. There needs to be a clear starter and the split needs to be 70-30 or 80-20. -

I'm sorry I disagree. You don't risk losing a game to fulfill football politics. The amount of times yesterday Chuba had us in 2nd and long really hurt the team. And if not for the Jets being complete ass, we could have lost that game. At the very least, Dowdle should not be coming off the bench. -
He got WAY too cute yesterday. First of all, you start Dowdle and stop with this rotating BS. Sorry Chuba, RBs are a dime a dozen, so go with the guy that's had a historic 3 game stretch. Neither RB can get in a rhythm when you switch them every other series.

Let's be honest, both Dalton and Bryce sucks. However, Dalton can definitely replicate Bryce's 150 yds a game. That's not the problem. The problem is Canales will get cute and have Dalton throw the ball 40+ times even though the Bills have the 31st ranked run defense. If the gameplan isn't to run Dowdle and Chuba 40+ times, then we already lost before the game started. The people saying we're gonna lose because Bryce is out is hilarious, acting like he's been the main catalyst for our 3 game winning streak lol Yeah, we more than likely lose, but it won't be because Bryce was out, it will be because Canales went full retard like yesterday.

Those stats scream game manager. The eye test screams game manager. There's nothing wrong with being a game manager (well, disregarding what we gave up for him). He just can't keep consistently missing easy throws like the ones to Horn today and the one he whiffed on for an easy TD. He'll be a nice stop gap while we continue to build a team for our next QB.

Hell, if we even come out of that stretch 2-4 i'd consider that a win tbh Bryce is finally gonna have to do something if we want to win any of these games.
