  1. The best thing Tepper can do is to tell any HC candidate that money is not an issue, he will supply any resources they might need for success, such as facilities, equipment, staff etc. I think those things resonate well.
  2. Yeah the culture is huge red flag, no doubt, so I would stay away. A shame as they draft and acquire players so well.
  3. The Eagles have built a very talented roster, but currently have really bad coaching after both coordinators left last year. Your “… Using that logic you could argue for Brian Johnson…” argument is really poor. I’m personally not a fan of the org as a whole, but wow you are way off with that logic.
  4. I might be interested in him if he brings his dad along to coach the o-line and mentor him. Bill is a very good o-line coach.
  5. But if they both made it to the superbowl, would they really be overrated?
  6. I don’t think Tepper himself is as big of an issue for a new GM and HC as portrayed by media and fans. Majority of owners are “interesting” people and in general fairly hands on, especially when things are going bad.
  7. Agree, nobody on their current staff should be considered (outside the p-line coach, but he’s not going anywhere). The same goes for Dan Quinn. Don’t see the appeal in him at all. Cowboys defense beat up on bad teams and faltered against good opponents. Very overrated.
  8. Yes, makes a lot of sense. Will be very interesting to see if he takes the next step or not.
  9. I mean, the Dolphins have essentially been beating up on bad teams all year. The only good team they beat was the Cowboys (22-20). Whenever they play someone good they got nothing.
  10. I like Monken, but I reserve the right to change my opinion tomorrow
  11. Seeing Monken trending for Panthers (means nothing, probably because he interviewed today). He’s got a very interesting background. He’s led a lot of different offenses in the NFL and college, and they all seem to produce big numbers. Feels like a strong sleeper candidate.
  12. I don’t think that is enough. From what I understand you have to interview at least two external minority candidates. The only reason the could do it was mentioned above.
  13. Apparently you can write in to a contract that they are promised the position if the HC leaves, and that is what they did in his latest contract
  14. For some reason people think it is unique to Tepper
  15. I would keep an eye on Jackson Powers-Johnson (C Oregon) if he does well at the senior bowl.
  16. I’m with you, I think we can get a stud C or G at this spot. We need to build up the o-line to help Bryce and to get it ready for our new QB in 2025…
  17. Lurie is getting more involved huh. Tepper has a lot to learn, but even one of the best owners in the league start getting more hands on when the results aren’t meeting expectations… just saying that Tepper is far from the only one.
  18. The counter to that is that maybe, just maybe he hasn’t been as involved as we thought. He let Rhule run the show, then a massive committee. It sound like the search firm is deeply involved in the process for a new GM and HC, so that’s a good thing.
  19. It is surprising. I definitely thought we would and try to pair with Ben.
  20. Chargers owners have tons of red flags. They are known for being super cheap etc. Chargers are only attractive for their QB, they are way over the cap and will have to get rid of some of their aging stars. It’s a good job, not sure if it’s great.
  21. Slowik is interesting, he’s very inexperienced but super high potential
