Thanks for sharing. This is fascinating stuff. I know some of us were hesitant with him due to his limited play within structure in college and the need to constantly relying on hero ball. But his lack of ownership and lack of work ethic is staggering.

BREAKING: Panthers release official depth chart
Martin replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not sure why people are so upset with a second year player that looked great in camp starting. It’s not like we have a stellar ILB group. Nick Scott on the other hand is an example of starting an inferior player, and that is a terrible decision. -
BREAKING: Panthers release official depth chart
Martin replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’s a second year player and Mike K from the Observer said he’s looked very good and had him as the defensive MVP of camp. So that is most likely why. -
Looking way ahead here, but I think 2026 will be a very strong LB draft. So this might be the year we get our new defensive leader. Arvell Reese from Ohio State has a chance to be special. All this assuming Bryce is our QB moving forward. Feel free to not derail the intended LB thread with QB stuff.

No pass rush whatsoever, same old, same old…
-
Agree with Allar looking like he has it all. But every time I saw him play last year it felt as if something was missing. Coming back for one more year was a good choice. Will be interesting to see if he takes the next step this year.
-
Agree, looks like he’s putting everything he has into every throw. To be fair, it is not his fault that everyone puts this hype on him.
-
It is definitely early, but throwing every pass as hard as you can and slightly off target is not a great look.
-
I have to say, you might be one of maybe two people on earth who thinks this is similar to trading up for Bryce. But you are consistent, so I’ll give you props for that.

Getting a fourth round pick and saving $7M is salary cap is more than fair for a 35 year old WR in his last year. This is really good compensation and a great job by Dan and team.

I hope you are correct, that would make a lot more sense -
Official Panthers Roster Cuts (Updated)

I like a lot about about this roster. The biggest issue I have will be continue to be Evero. Not starting Bobby Brown III at nose and starting Nick Scott at safety is terrible. He is the weakest link on this team imo. -
Always a 10 for the first game of the season. I expect some progress, improved defense etc. Not expecting a deep playoff run or anything, but the first real game in a long time makes it a 10 for me.

Shy Tuttle looks really really bad. Seems like a great guy, but there is no way he’s making the team. Felt like every bad play was run his direction. We him gone and Horn back I feel pretty good about the defense tbh.
-
It is a bit surprising, I thought he had a couple of impact plays from what I saw. But I obviously didn’t hone in on all his snaps.
-
In addition, I thought our starting ILBs looked really good, and so did Bobby Brown. Wallace has a couple of standout plays. Scourton has been mentioned, and he looked really good, we definitely got something there. There was a couple of plays where he set the edge in the run game that forced the run inside. Really fun to watch.

I agree that he needs games and that he was extremely underwhelming in the first game. But spacing out the games makes a lot of sense as he is getting back from that injury. Give him a few days to make sure there are no setbacks etc.
-
Having issues with a player coming back from an injury not playing back to back games is certainly an interesting stance…

VJ seems like a great pick for us tbh. Exactly the type of player we are missing. So if it’s him I’m excited.

Joe Person: Panthers really like Mason Graham and Jalon Walker
Martin replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
There is a reason he didn’t do any of the testing leading up to the draft. He’s a game day performer that looks less impressive outside of an actual game, but that is just my opinion. -
Round 6, Pick 32 (#208) - Jimmy Horn Jr, WR, Colorado
Martin replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is really cool to hear, Mike doesn’t throw praise around unless warranted -
D. Morgan on T-Mac: “I made the decision pretty early [January]
Martin replied to Tbe's topic in Carolina Panthers
If true, that means Dan trusted all game tape and used the combine etc. to confirm what he saw in tape, just the way it should be. The draft was focused on players that produce, so good stuff. -
Just here to give you props for ranking the kickers for this draft, impressive dedication my friend!
