  1. We’ve seen it before, Lamb was running wild, on the opposite side of Horn, and no changes were made. An offensive coordinator’s dream. I agree that Evero was dealt a rough hand, but I also haven’t seen him try to maximize the few good players he has. In addition, after a year like this, everyone needs a fresh start, it is the best for both parties, no hard feelings.
  2. First of all, I hope you are doing ok, it might be good for you to step away a little bit. Again, it is common practice to try different approaches and measures the results. In this case he was benched with the hope it would help him to sit back and watch and learn from Andy. Then you can look at the results post that and measure results. This is a valid approach and not even up for discussion imo. Now, how you interpret the results is 100% up for discussion.
  3. Not sure I see the issue with only looking at the numbers after he became the starter again after his benching. He sat, learned etc. and now we want to see if something changed. Hence we will measure the new period post benching. This is common practice and used all the time. I understand you are bitter, but good grief man.
  4. I’d take Jalon Walker over Carter in a heartbeat at this point.
  5. Evero doesn’t believe in the monster NT, his system wants a smaller guy. I don’t get it, but it is what it is
  6. That was impressive by Michigan without their top 4 stars on defense. Also, is Wink Martindale looking to come back to the NFL
  7. Oh those poor elite SEC teams not qualifying for the playoffs herp derp lol
  8. If you are historically bad, it is probably time to go separate ways, no matter the circumstances.
  9. I think Saleh is a 4-3 guy, right? It is an attacking 4-3 that would fit Brown really well imo.
  10. I had two reservations against XL, his route running and his hands. His route running has been really good, which is both surprising and awesome. But until he can catch the ball on a consistent basis… It will be interesting to see if there is a big difference after his wrist surgery. Chuba improved a lot after working at it extremely hard, so maybe there is a chance?
  11. He is a rookie HC. It was a learning year for him as well. I bet things will look very different in year 2. I still think we found a good one.
  12. 4-3 all the way, draft Graham and 1-2 DEs (seem like a few decent ones can be had in rounds 2-3 this year). Both Wonnum and Clowney can play as DEs. Sign a MLB in FA. And finally let Horn follow the best WR the whole game. It would be an immediate massive improvement.
  13. I think it will be an amicable split, no nastiness or hard feelings. Both parties understand the need for a fresh start.
  14. This is spot on. The one thing that has me enjoying watching the games are the splash plays, and some clutch plays. We’ll learn what we need next year as that will be his second year in the system etc. A year of no excuses.
  15. Well then I wrongly assumed a lazy take and I apologize
  16. I admire you willingness to completely ignore the point of the OP here, and use a stat from the whole season that is also a bit old. Well done!
  17. It is an improvement, no doubt. Will he ever be good enough? What I have liked is his demeanor in the pocket and his willingness to be aggressive. Let’s see what him and Canales can do in the same system in year two, as I would expect both of them to improve. In the meantime we build the rest of the team.
  18. Here’s a breakdown of Saleh’s defensive approach: https://jetsxfactor.com/2023/08/15/ny-jets-pros-cons-saleh-defense/ Side note, a friend who is a 49ers fan was always underwhelmed by Saleh and felt he was mostly a rah rah guy, and not much of a tactician.
  19. I think we’ll have a decent chance to get Saleh as he’s friends with Canales, good change of scenery for him, and turning around the disaster of a defense that is the Panthers would set him up for a future second chance at a HC job. And he would get paid really well.
  20. Ron’s strength is a culture builder, perfect for stopping a disaster of an org and get them close to normal. Then someone else will have to take over to take them from normalized to good. Ron is not a bad choice for the Jets, but I’m not sure they have the patience to start doing things the right way.
  21. Fair, however Snyder never changed and is also a terrible person. I don’t think Tepper is a bad guy, and I think he is learning and changing. So that is what makes them different. Tepper made a massive mistake initially not cleaning house and keeping Marty. That lead to the hiring of Rhule and eventually Fitt. And we are still paying for it.
  22. And we coached and played aggressively to get us in to FG range as well. Big momentum swing when we missed that FG before halftime. Not that it would have mattered overall, but took some of our momentum away nonetheless.
  23. The big difference for us is that Tepper wants to win and he’s prepared to spend to make it happen. What he has struggled with is trusting the wrong people and hiring the wrong people.
