  1. We know that Young’s processing is awesome, but I also haven’t heard anything negative about Stroud’s processing. Have we seen any analyst say Stroud is not as good of a processor? Do we have any proof that he is not on the same level? Just because he isn’t running around like Young? That’s more a playing style thing in my mind. And to clarify, I’m totally open to this being the case, but I’m curious if anyone can back this up outside of just a random opinion?
  2. I don’t disagree, I just think Stroud is more the type he is looking for.
  3. I still believe they are looking for a QB to play mostly within the system, which is clearly Stroud to me.
  4. Always felt meh about him, but he’s a solid all around TE, and that will be great for our rookie QB. Now we can also draft and develop a young TE. TEs usually take a while before they contribute. I’m just waiting to see what the cost is.
  5. Still think Austin Hopper would be a great value at TE. A bit meh on Hurst.
  6. That would make Elijah Moore expendable. He’s going in to his third year. Not sure how good he’s been, hard to tell when you play for the Jets.
  7. Exactly, but that shouldn’t stop us from trying to improve. I just thought that was an odd way to think about it.
  8. I think we need a #1, but we also need a deep threat. They are not mutually exclusive.
  9. 3 years $18M. That’s a great deal!
  10. I saw a tweet a little while back but I can’t find it. It stated the center position was really slow as players were expecting $10-12M a year but teams were currently at $6M per year. So that is good news in terms of Bozeman. If we can get him in the $8M a year range, that would be great.
  11. There seem to be confusion between playing weight and bulking up for the combine. Brees and other had a playing weight if +205 lbs. Young had a playing weight of ~180 lbs. if he could easily put in weight, and it wouldn’t impact his play, he would have done so already. He has a very narrow frame and will struggle to gain, and maintain, any substantial weight.
  12. Outside of resigning Bozeman, my wishlist is Austin Hooper (TE) and Hardman/Paris at WR. That would set us up really well in the draft.
  13. I think he liked 2021 Levis, not sure about the 2022 version
  14. Here is a short analysis by Greg Cosell. He lives Young, but also states Young played at 169 in the championship game last year, now that is a bit scary
  15. I’m the opposite, thinking there will be a better TE than WR available. But I don’t know much about the WR group. Who are you hoping to be available?
  16. Looks like Rams are a seller. I saw a suggestion by our old friend Jordan R for Panthers to ask about the Van Jefferson + Allen Robinson combo. I don’t know much about Jefferson, outside of his dad being our new WR coach. On paper I like the idea.
  17. I think there will be a stud TE available when we pick in the second round. Wouldn’t be shocked if Myers drops to us, it is a loaded TE draft. A great TE to pair with our young QB would be awesome.
  18. Absolutely agree, that’s why the whole thing is so far fetched.
  19. Here is how I think about it. Reich has a great system and would like someone to work mostly within that system with pinpoint accuracy. That says Stroud to me. Young is awesome but he feels like someone working much more outside the system. Similar to Russell Wilson.
  20. Funny, I see that statement from Reich and think Stroud. It will be a fun couple of weeks no doubt.
  21. If they sign in agreement that they can’t trade out if the pick and they agree to not take Stroud , then I would consider it. But that is so far fetched.
  22. It would be very surprising if they didn’t value his opinion at all.
  23. Tepper will offer his opinion, but he’ll let his coaches and gm make the decision.
