  1. Sounds like they’ve been speaking a lot and Fangio need some time to think. Could still go either way as far as I’m concerned.
  2. Ideal scenario and an extremely stressful draft night
  3. This would make Arizona the trade partner to get ahead of Indy. However, depending on who is left, Seahawks might still be the spot.
  4. I wonder if people got a bit scared from the 49ers vastly overpaying for Lance. I don’t think Bears will get as much as in the past, but maybe I’m just overly optimistic. Will be interesting to see, no doubt.
  5. Now that we have a coach who can develop a young QB I can see us trading up with the Bears for the first pick in the draft. How much would it cost? Our first rounder this year and the following two years? 1st and 3rd this year and next year? I’d really want to hold in to our high second rounder this year to get a new QB some help.
  6. One of my favorite things on this board, random “facts” people just throw out there
  7. Agree on your comment on Steichen, making sure he is surrounded by experience is key. I would push for the same thing.
  8. I agree with John on this one, would love to see Reich, think he would put together a very strong staff and he could develop a rookie QB. The QBs he had to work with in Indy…
  9. I agree with this, I just feel there are good coaches available this hiring cycle that would cost nothing.
  10. I think I would rather use those picks to move up for a quarterback in the draft. Not a fan of paying for a coach.
  11. I’m at the point where I don’t really care as long as Fangio is the DC
  12. It is interesting as he wants to minimize the loss of draft picks for his own sake.
  13. This is not going to happen, but what if he could avoid Texans and Colts, let them draft a QB, and then enter the supplemental draft and get picked by a much better team
  14. Is the Tepper not easy to work with a real thing or something made up on these boards? It seems to me like he gives his football people plenty of room to work.
  15. 100% agree, him and Luvu on the outside would be something to behold. I’d also love to see Brown as a 3-4 end.
  16. Fangio and his 3-4 is on top of the list for defense for me. Pairing him with Johnson is by far my favorite pairing.
  17. As an Ohio State QB sceptic I got my first chance to watch a full game of Stroud vs. Georgia. And wow was he impressive. After watching the excellent show Scheme with Norris and McCown, I’m sold. Here is the link for the breakdown:
  18. What he has done this year with the Lions is super impressive. Remember they have Goff as their QB. One can argue he got a lot more out if Goff than McVay ever got. He’s only done it for a year, but in that one year he’s the most impressive OC in my opinion.
  19. I’d expect the Chargers coaching staff to get fired. Their ability to do less with more something else. They are clearly holding the team back.
  20. Doesn’t it feel like that coaching staff has significantly underperformed in the last two years? Is that all you can ge5 out of a team led by a star QB?
  21. This is an interesting one, as in getting the right coach will mean different something different to different people (as seen in the which coach do you want poll). So by definition no more than 1/3 of us will be happy and say he got it right
  22. I agree, the coach needs to focus 100% on coaching. They will obviously be working with the GM, but you need to separate the duties.
  23. I have to say that I agree with this. So at least he is learning from his mistakes.
  24. I’m very optimistic. I really like the interview list, I actually think he’s learnt a bit since last time, proper football people are part of the search etc.
