I bet about 31 of these GMs would have jumped to draft Watson, Jackson, Mahomes, Rodgers, Prescott, Wilson, etc. At 6. Point is who cares where you get them, you hit and your franchise is changed. No other position does that.

I think in the trade for a vet QB scenario, I would still go for Baker, he has been mostly good, outside of an injury riddled year last year and could elevate this team. I'd go that route, especially if the browns are forced to eat his salary.

What would be the expected price for either? Reasonable, or are we giving away another ton of draft capital?

I live in Dallas, and I was listening to local radio, they were talking about how this draft might not be as expensive to trade up because there are so many teams supposably trying to trade down. That's fine, but what made me kind of laugh, their analyst was saying it was possible they could get the 6 pick from us for 24, their second and a fourth... Man they like to dream down here. I mean a team may want to trade up for more than just a QB. The LTs are ridiculous according to everybody, you have the best safety in a generation according to some, and you have some decent pass rushers and wide receivers. A trade back is not out of the question.

If we go this route and get Corral, that's fine, I just think the need to take the swing in the draft, and if it doesn't work out, take your new coach and do it again next year. Swing till you get the hit. Heavy QB classes come and go, it's not always guaranteed that next year will be better.

If this happens, take the tackle.

Really? I walked away with the impression that they were def going to go QB, probably Pickett as that meets your criteria.

He would be great for 8 games a year, but I don't want an 8 game a year QB. Honestly, I don't think he fits Rhules or Macadoo's optimal type of QB. I think Pickett is much more likely.

I'm pretty sure they declined the trade last year cause there wasn't a first offered.
