  1. This thread is proving to be a wonderful tool to teach my students about logical fallacies. So thank you all.
  2. See this is the type of thing I'm talking about. Spread the narrative that he's trying to fix Bryce? What if he is actually trying to fix the issues that he has? Would that be so insane?
  3. So by this logic Kyler Murray should have gone in the 6th round, and Russell Wilson even though he went in the third round should have gone undrafted. Got it
  4. Well that's a lovely way to water down what's actually being said here. The fact is that everybody wants to characterize Bryce as a midget who somehow swindled his way into the number one pick. This is far from reality. And also people want to look at the hardships of the offense last year as a whole and pin it completely on Bryce. This isn't atypical, many quarterbacks in the NFL know they're going to have to deal with the brunt of the offenses production because they're the leader. But as soon as anybody brings up the fact that our receivers were absolute garbage in our offensive line could be beat by most of the defensive lines in the SEC, people start calling you a Bryce defender. It's just wild to see everybody tear down a 22-year-old kid after his first year on a horrible team without seeing what he can do in year two with some stability and better talent around him.
  5. So what metric do we use to measure college quarterbacks as NFL prospects then? If what they did as a college starter doesn't matter in terms of what they can do in the NFL then how is a prospect supposed to be analyzed properly? I'm not even talking statistically. I simply mean the body of work they put onto the field. And that absolutely matters in terms of figuring out whether or not this is the quarterback you want to lead an NFL team. This isn't meant to be negative for my end either. This is seriously just my attempt to understand where you're coming from
  6. The year that it clicks? Have you seen Bryce's history as a starter? Last year has been the exception not the rule in his case. No one knows how he's going to pan out for sure going forward, but for all of that elite coaching that he's gotten it's certainly paid off for him.
  7. There's nothing wrong with the wait and see approach. But those aren't types of perspectives I'm seeing from a lot of people. They're just looking for any excuse to bash Bryce and reduce Canales to nothing before he even steps foot on the field as the head coach.
  8. Yes, it makes sense for the Vikings. But why would the Texans make that deal?
  9. Exactly. They didn't even wait for the opportunity to see which players would be available. Seems like a trade that should have happened on draft day.
  10. I think it will take something like 2 years 20 mill to get him here.
  11. Lol. One first rounder next year for a 28 year old QB that is already a 3 time Super Bowl Champ and 3 time Super Bowl MVP and former Offensive Player of the Year, and clearly on a Hall of Fame path? Try every pick from every draft for the next 3 years, and they still would laugh at us.
  12. The run defense is already better with Robinson and Jewell. Pass defense is the concern now.
  13. I'd give Carl Lawson a physical and a workout. He was a beast before his injuries.
  14. He's the guy that is profiting off of a rendition of a song that was already famous.
  15. Another guy to watch for is Devin White. Canales just came from Tampa.
