Double secret film...
-
I took his reposting it as confirmation. I've seen one or two other sources say the same thing. Mind you, a lot of places don't update their info until the week is completely over. The Saints play tonight and their result affects our SOS.
-
Not directly related, but kinda... The article is subscription only but the headline under the pic reads very true.
-
What the four I mentioned have in common is they're not "his" guys, i.e. no prior connections from Temple, Baylor or anywhere else. Also, outside of Don johnson, they all have available replacements already on staff who are "his guys". OL Coach Pat Meyer - Assistant OL Coach Tony Sparano TE Coach Brian Angelichio - Defensive Assistant Kevin Gilbride ST Coordinator Chase Blackburn - Assistant ST Coordinator Ed Foley

Yet even when Erving was healthy, the RG starter was John Miller.

I don't want it, either. I want the Panthers job to go to Nathaniel Hackett.
-
Well, when you talk about the job Matt Rhule is doing, it's kind of hard not to talk about poo. The comparisons are just too obvious.
-
Ellis dug up this additional quote... The answer: Sure you do You also tell people that everthing's great but they're just not smart enough to see it.
-
Jones confirms we're now 7th...
-
You took it the same way I did, I see. True stupidity would be to actually believe him. And while I find myself hoping David Tepper isn't that stupid, this unfortunately isn't guaranteed.
-
Rhule is basically saying "I'm smart. All you guys who can't see how smart I am are dumb. I'm sorry you're too dumb to get it." I'm not sure I've ever heard a more arrogant, delusional, insulting statement from a head coach. The comparisons that he made of himself just make it worse. This guy is insufferable.

I mean at this point, does anyone doubt that Pat Meyer is gone?
-
About the only other coach it seems pretty much everyone agrees is dead meat is Matt Nagy. Have seen some speculation on Mike Zimmer but nothing appears to be definite there.
-
Also, a fun offseason rumor... There's been some speculation that the Bears are going to try and get Sean Payton away from the Saints. Not real sure how that's supposed to happen (and don't remotely expect it to) but damn that would be fun to watch

Rhule: "I haven't done a good enough job..."
Mr. Scot replied to MechaZain's topic in Carolina Panthers
We don't have a good middle linebacker and our safeties aren't so hot either (the one truly talented player in that group is out of position). Our top defensive end is a doormat against teams that can run effectively. The defense overall is best suited for playing with a lead, but we hardly ever have one. And worst of all, our coaching sucks. -
Coaches without prior ties to Matt Rhule... OL Coach Pat Meyer TE Coach Brian Angelichio ST Coach Chase Blackburn Pass Rush Specialist Don Johnson
-
A thread for coaching news in general... Still uncertain whether anything happens with Rhule and the Panthers, but as of tomorrow teams who are or have moved on from their head coaches can start interviewing, and anything that happens could at least potentially be relevant to us. Already got an early report from LaCanfora on the Jags job... LaCanfora reports the Jags are looking into Pederson, Caldwell and possibly Leslie Frazier. Sounds possible they may be focused on retreads for now, but a lot of folks expect them to give their former QB (Leftwich) an interview at some point.

What if Rhule hires NFL Coordinators and positions coaches?
Mr. Scot replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Keeping Rhule but replacing assistants Just can't see it working... -
I'm not expecting it, but it's possible.
