Christensen gets pushed back there, and yeah he did that a few times yesterday but again, he's a rookie and did well overall for a rookie. Moton didn't so much get pushed back there as he went a little too far inside. Guessing he was accounting for the guy coming out in a pattern behind him. Might be a consequence of his not being used to that side. Both of those things are correctable, way more so than some of the interior issues.

As was discussed numerous times late last season, defense did enough in several games to give us an opportunity to put it away. Several games in a row, we were saying "here's another chance for a game-winning drive". Teddy couldn't do it.

I don't know that he's that bad, but it's probably fair to say he's not the Sean Payton clone we thought he could be.

How'd that work out last season? What Bridgewater does isn't "protecting the ball". I could get behind that. Playing scared? Not so much.

Considered using that but decided against it.

I'll take a quarterback who takes risks over one who plays it safe tem times out of ten, even in a WCO.

You wouldn't understand it if I did.

Continuously changing lineups hasn't helped. That said, changes are still warranted. If nothing else, Dennis Daley badly needs to be benched.

Pretty much. For my part, I want to see Moton stay left, Deonte Brown in at guard, Brady Christensen stay at right tackle or move to the other guard and Cam Erving or Trent Scott take whatever spot is left. Center? About the only option there is Elflein if he gets healthy. Bad as Paradis may be, I doubt Sam Tecklenburg is gonna be an improvement.

Possible. I know Brady is the prototype of what a lot of teams want now, (i.e the young offensive wonder kid) but when it comes to OCs, I've always had a preference for former head coaches. Honestly, I just wish we had a former NFL head coach somewhere on this staff. It still bugs me that we've got the least NFL experience of probably any staff in the league. Sometimes I think it shows.

I've seen him have bad games, but Rivera was consistently bad. I don't think Rhule is that.

My take on Brady hasn't changed much. He's pretty good in the area of play design. Playcalling and game management? Eeehhh

I've said multiple times that I think this year's veteran signings were meant to be stopgaps while we tried to build the line through the draft. Unfortunately, it looks like some may not even be "stopgap" quality. Don't know if we'll look at free agents on the line next year, but if we do we'll have Dan Morgan in the fold to help. His background is in pro personnel. Fitterer is a draft guy.

Bridgewater wouldn't have thrown as many picks because he didn't have the balls to try risky throws. Throwing two yard passes when you need six or seven yards may not turn the ball over, but it doesn't exactly win games either.

First off, some of those guys are retired. That means their rights still belong to their prior teams and you can't sign them unless that team releases those rights. Setting that aside though... Better than who they used to be? No. Better than who they are now? Yeah it's possible. Those guys are very well recognized names. If they really did still have something in the tank and were readily available, with the number of teams that have OL needs right now I'm pretty sure they'd have a job.

Darnold might be the next one out the door
Mr. Scot replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
Seriously doubt it. All indications are and have been that the team was happy with Darnold.
