  1. Except now that the draft is over, the info on what went on behind the scenes is out there and none of it fits what you're suggesting.
  2. Things aren't going particularly well over that way
  3. Par for the course... There were professional personnel guys who believed in JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf while others didn't think Russell Wilson or Tom Brady were worth first round picks. And of course there's the memory of Alex Smith going #1 and Aaron Rodgers still being available twenty spots later. We'll see what happens...
  4. I'm not seeing it. Honestly, looks textbook to me. Non-throwing hand looks kinda funky in the follow through but that's nothing.
  5. I hadn't looked but Top Dawg has a link above.
  6. Everybody at that point still thought the Niners were taking Mac Jones (not that this would have anything to do with system fit). The best read I've been able to make based on all the info surrounding the draft is that Fitterer and Rhule would only have been interested in a QB they saw as a sure fire franchise quarterback, and the only guys they saw fitting that description were Lawrence and Wilson. Frankly, it's not like they'd have been alone in that viewpoint.
  7. Person and others. Our not attending his second workout was also a hint.
  8. It was confirmed that we weren't interested in Lance because he didn't fit our system.
  9. Based on what I've read from various sources, Tepper believed in Fields. Rhule and Fitterer? Not so much.
  10. We're scheduled to practice against the Colts, but it might be without Carson Wentz (not good news for Indy) Mixed news out of our week one matchup's camp... Angling for a trade, now injured...
  11. Worse than the trap of playing for Adam Gase?
  12. Quickest way to know that someone doesn't know jack about football: watch them freak out about one or two plays in training camp.
  13. I have no idea why that's getting added to thread titles
  14. Definitely. Lots of coaches flash in their rookie season but fall off after the rest of the league gets tape on them.
  15. Hot seat? Heavens, no I'd agree with the idea that he might be a tad overhyped (likely due to the Sean McVay effect) but he's legitimately good.
  16. That's a really nice pass.
  17. Actually, pretty much every team that changes all levels of leadership gets a "reset".
  18. My attitude has always been that I'm more interested in seeing how we look late in the season than early. That hasn't changed.
  19. He did, but he was cut shortly after Rodgers agreed to report.
