  1. If I'm catching a pass from Brady, I'm going to ask them to measure the air pressure in the football first.
  2. The Eagles are reported to have definite interest and have three first round picks to give next year. Plus unlike us, their owner is actually more than willing to interfere in football matters and has a GM who will happily cover for him when he does. If there is a sweepstakes, I don't see anybody beating what Philly can offer.
  3. As to my answer... Right now? No. If he did what he's accused of? Hell no! If he's innocent (which, let's be honest is a pretty big reach right now) then only if it doesn't cost too much. So basically, not likely.
  4. His legal team believes he's going to be indicted. When your own lawyers are saying that, it ain't good.
  5. Never been a real big fan of that agreement because somebody always seems to get hurt in those games.
  6. Even if he actually did all the things he's accused of?
  7. Wouldn't bet on Watson going anywhere, here or otherwise, anytime soon.
  8. Three or four different teams have signed backup quarterbacks in the last few days.
  9. Winston was probably trying to eat a W there As an aside, my high school team had something like that. They called it The Blaster. We hated that damn thing.
  10. I remember not that long ago, the Steelers started a season looking unbeatable, but down the road just seemed to fold. Can't remember if that was last year or before that, but I recall it happening. My Steeler fan friends were livid.
  11. I'm liking these reports that when somebody on the offense has to take a penalty lap, the whole unit goes with them (including Darnold). It may not seem like much, but it's a nice little bit for team unity.
  12. Yep. That's why you make moves for football reasons only.
  13. Uuuuhhh, yeah. I don't give a rat's ass about jersey sales, or ticket sales, or sales in general. Only thing I care about is whether we win or lose.
  14. Yeah...uh, Dave Tepper is not some mythical godfather like figure. He can't secretly manipulate the legal system or any such goofy idea as that. Watson's case is gonna go through the court system. His best chance at anything was likely a settlement, but it seriously doesn't sound like that's going to happen now. Complain and rant all you want. It's not going to change anything.
  15. I'd agree. You sign football players for football reasons. Anything else is stupid.
  16. No, we don't "all know it" but it really doesn't matter either way. Regardless of what your feelings are, I wouldn't put any bets on Watson being a Panther at this point.
  17. Sounded like the Eagles had it in the works before the latest news came out, but now that's been shot down too. Still think that's where he likely ends up...if he ends up anywhere. But with his own lawyers talking about indictments, doesn't sound good.
  18. Okay, if we're gonna get into a heavy debate about chicken sandwiches, I see no way this doesn't end in violence
  19. Well, at least the wild overreactions on the Huddle will be entertaining
  20. I'm blanking on the name of the douchebag that came before him, the guy that went to Fox Sports. Riveron was at least better than that guy. Edit: Looked him up, Dean Blandino.
  21. Fair enough. It's pretty much an annual event at this point anyway.
  22. Uuuuhhh no, it doesn't... at all. Nevermind that signing anybody "to put butts in seats" is a flat out stupid argument to begin with, but given that his own legal team now thinks there's a high probability of his being indicted, no way. Nobody puts "butts in seats" when they're not on the field.
