I get the feeling the hand wringing over this is overblown.

I kind of like the idea of having someone in the mold of a Jim Johnson or a Dick LeBeau.

Going back to the Panthers Confidential clips, there's something I've noticed about new GM Scott Fitterer. He seems really comfortable with being in charge. A lot of new GMs have a little trouble with the transition from being one of the assistants in charge of whatever to being the guy in control of everything. That just doesn't seem to be the case with Fitt. Random observation on my part, but one that I find encouraging.

Minor Note: There was mention previously of the team trying out DT Mike Panasiuk as a blocker. Looks like they're keeping him on that side of the ball (see the pic on the right). I know everyone here really loves the idea of converted defensive lineman playing tackle

Heading into OTAs today - whatcha interested in?

Honestly, my biggest takeaway from that clip was just how badly Shi Smith burned Juston Burris. -
Side Note: This is from last week, but it serves as a reminder that it's really cool to have Dan Morgan as part of the front office now.

Rhule described Anderson's absence as "personal".

Said Thomas has had a fantastic offseason and came in looking "explosive". FYI: You'll be able to see the full presser on the Panthers YouTube channel later.

Pretty interesting comments about Ian Thomas.

After some of the stuff I've been through over the last few years, I'm actually surprised I'm still here. Doctor looked me in the eyes a while back, told me that my internal organs were malfunctioning and said "I'm gonna be straightfoward here. This is killing you". Hard to describe what you feel when somebody tells you something like that.

This discussion kind of reminds me of just how much misinformation there is out there. In the Panthers Confidential video, you saw Alijah Vera-Tucker and Caleb Farley listed as trade down possibilities on Rhule's board, not Rashawn Slater. Yet in the weeks prior, there had been chatter that we liked Slater better than we liked Sewell.

June 1st (trade and cut transactions) rumors

Analysts are talking about Julio Jones a lot right now. The Titans seem to be the favorites to land him. -
Here are some good tips. Wait...Was that not what you meant?

How much of the Jets performance was really on Darnold?

And again, if he had "unequivocally proven" anything, he wouldn't have been replaced and let go and more than two teams would have pursued him. -
They just recently lost a longtime photographer too.

It's not really that big a deal. And I wouldn't bet on it having anything to do with Fitterer. We're talking about a logistics and planning guy, not a personnel guy. Plus it sounds like a good portion of what got him forced out might have happened before Fitterer even got here. In his previous stops, Padden was likely used to holding a lot of sway because he was basically Rhule's second in command. An NFL organization is way more complicated than that. Sounds like maybe he was just throwing around weight that he didn't have and it pissed people off. -

If there had been zero questions, he never would have left stop #1. And in fact, there were major questions, especially about his shoulder. That's why only two teams really pursued him. -
This is how I see Tommy Tremble being used

Yeah. It's a legit "heat of the moment" decision. I think a lot of these things are, because if you took a moment to think about it you'd probably realize it was insane.
