FYI: The Saints have also signed Steve Smith's old buddy Janoris Jenkins.
-
With us going away from a Coryell type offense, that skill set may not have been as valuable.
-
Also apparently interested in this guy...
-
...and last

Technically they still have until 4pm tomorrow to get under the cap. I think at this point, they're making calls to Hogwarts to see if they've got a school of accounting.

NFL history has plenty of ugly holdout and/or trade request stories. I think the most recent one is probably Earl Thomas. That ended with him being carted off the field while flipping off the fans. Has there been one with a franchise quarterback before though? Not sure. Closest thing I can think of to that was when Elway and Manning said they wouldn't play for the teams that were planning to draft them. That's not really the same though given that at the time they were still just highly regarded prospects and there wasn't a signed contract involved.

Sure.

To the Saints... Ouch
-
Yeah. Lance Briggs, for one. Also, can't remember the name but some team (Broncos maybe, feels like it was AFC at least) had a guy they franchised that held out for the better part of two seasons before finally agreeing to play.

The Texans have signed like 14 free agents in the last 24 hours, but they're not trying to improve the roster?

This is one big difference with me and some others. I see people actually saying to themselves "Cal McNair can't possibly be that stupid." To which my response is

See above.

49ers might now look at Trubisky...

I'm not convinced that he won't be traded. I just doubt it. I also doubt that if he is traded it's to us, though I grant that's possible too. But come on, dude. Paying a backup quarterback in the high five millions is not exactly a sign from God. I'm gonna guess you're not being serious here.
-
Did anyone mention to you that it was actually Chris yet?
-
For what it's worth... Not sure if that makes any substantial difference.
-
I think you're reaching...just a bit.
-
They're not paying 6 million plus. They're paying less than 6 million. The rest is incentives.
-
So it turns out Rodney Hudson asked for his release from the Raiders. (as reported, oddly enough, by Mark Sanchez)
-
Not exactly... It's kinda like the initial report that said Newton was getting 14 million.
-
Being reported that the Panthers have interest in safety Keanu Neal
-
Yep... (son of a... )

Wilson isn't an option here. He never was. And Taylor hasn't been a starter for a while now.
-
Not sure what Andy Dalton signing with the Bears would have to do with Deshaun Watson. Taylor looks like a backup signing, which makes sense given that Watson is literally the only quarterback they have on the roster.
