    Albert Breer wrote a few paragraphs about Newman in his latest Game Plan column. Apparently, when Newman opted out of the season and declared for the NFL Draft in the same day, he had essentially bought into his own hype. Turned out the NFL didn't think nearly as much of him as Newman thought they did. (and it would seem they think even less of him now)

    I'd really like to hope he's getting better, but the comments from Igo and Joe Person about how he looked in practice aren't exactly encouraging.

    I wasn't really sure until I looked it up. Found it in an old Observer article.

    We had extensive discussion last year questioning whether Brady just didn't want to use the tight end or the personnel we had at the position were just that bad. Guess we know the answer to that question now.

    The comments about wanting the tight end to be involved don't really speak well of Ian Thomas.

    My understanding is that game two basically becomes what game three used to be and game three will be like game four. Game one probably won't be any different.

    As the saying goes, it's a lot easier to destroy than create. That, plus defensive ends aren't generally going backwards.

    To be fair, at this time of year the defense should look better than the offense. And that's even true of teams that don't have a new quarterback.

    Newman seems to have spent the last few years effectively self-destructing.

    There is a separate article that gives you the best quarterback for every type of throw also (link is in the middle of the one posted above). Spoiler: It's pretty much all Aaron Rodgers.
