  1. Nah. Let him talk. Whether you agree with their opinion or not, sometimes the honest opinions of opposing fans are helpful. They don't necessarily have the preconceived notions some of us do.
  2. No, because I never say "Player X won (or lost) us the game" at all. Teams win. Teams lose.
  3. I'm still waiting to see whtat Playoff Darnold looks like. (last year it looked like dog sh-t) But yeah, he's been unfortunate when it comes to coaching. Had he gone to someone like Andy Reid, who knows?
  4. Essentialy a West Coast Offense style quarterback... We knew that before he was drafted.
  5. Still early, but at least so far I'm liking this year's draft.
  6. I posted a longer analysis yesterday that basically sums up thusly: His future is as a quality backup. He's not consistent enough to remain a regular starter If we want to be a contender. Yesterday didn't change that take.
  7. He ain't our first streaky quarterback. Hell, we've got a long history of those.
  8. Yes, it happens. I've seen plenty of them. Yesterday wasn't one of them. It certainly wasn't a great game, it wasn't even a very good game, but even if it only reached "good" level by a slim margin, it did reach. Still think Bryce's future is as a good backup, but even that accepts that he can win games.
  9. And yet some of the completions he made were amazing, including some made under heavy pressure. Do I want Bryce as the "franchise" quarterback? Not convinced... But I'm gonna make that decision based on an honest assessment, not a biased one.
  10. See above. I'll repeat what I've said before. Bryce is a limited quarterback. How much we can win with him consistently is a major question. But acting like he never does anything right, doesn't have good games and hasn't contributed to wins is intellectual dishonesty. You can indeed admit he does good things while still questioning whether or not he's the future.
  11. There's a difference between having bad plays and having a bad game. Even good quarterbacks have bad plays. Hell, Favre generally had at least three or four "what the @#$&" plays a game. And so did a certain quarterback who used to play here just a few years back. Young did not have a bad game yesterday. And please don't give me the "we won in spite of him" bit because that is one of the stupidest arguments ever made.

  13. Dowdle also had some receptions, as did the receivers (naturally). Did they throw those passes to themselves?
  14. Because he did. I'm as much a Bryce critic as anyone but the reality is he played well enough to help the team win yesterday. Dowdle was a big part of it. The defense was a big part of it. But yes, Young was a big part of it too. It's mental gymnastics to say otherwise. Chad Pennington helped win games. Rex Grossman helped win games. Hell, even David Carr helped win games. That's the way it works in a team sport. Criticize Bryce all you want (I do) but don't cross the line into saying stupid things in the process.
  15. That guy was an a--hole.

  17. I'm okay with being confused by winning
