  1. Word now that it was indeed Wilks who fired Phil Snow. Guess that ends that argument...
  2. My first question would be who made the decision. Could have been Wilks...
  3. Before McAdoo? I expected him to be gone but still...
  4. Which is consistent with what we knew. Hurney "flipped" per Tepper's story, which was the point when everybody decided Rhule was the guy.
  5. The flipside of the story... Rhule is likely to defend himself in the media, and when that time comes I won't be surprised if he tells some stories and throws some shade / blame toward Tepper, Fitterer and who knows who else. It could certainly be interesting.
  6. If there is, it'll probably be Wilks or Fitterer. I don't foresee Tepper stepping out to face the music.
  7. Definitely not. Tepper's decision making has been horrible.
  8. Seriously doubt Tepper shows his face.
  9. It's not like Tepper hired him over Marty's objections. And as mentioned, the flight was just a logistical thing. Go back and read the stories about Rhule's interview. You'll see plenty of examples of David Tepper giving Marty Hurney loads of credit.
  10. It is true though that an RPO based offense isn't the same thing as a read option scheme. And honestly, I have a hard time picturing Newton running McAdoo's offense.
  11. Not so sure Steve Wilks is on board with that...
  12. Johnson might turn out to be your best bet to get Luke Kuechly on staff. He was part of the Boston College coaching staff for all three years of Kuechley's time there.
  13. Just saw that. Yeah, that ought to be interesting. Might see more of this sort of thing too.
  14. Marty led the search that picked Rhule as a candidate. And according to Tepper's own story, he was the first one to recognize that Rhule was "their guy" and they needed to go into "recruiting mode". As far as Tepper flying out, that was largely for logistic reasons because Rhule's family was just returning from vacation. Tepper met personally with every single candidate.
  15. I have serious questions about whether he'd be able to duplicate his success in New Orleans. That, combined with what we would likely have to give up to acquire him makes me gun shy.
  16. If you're a fan of Steichen, you're probably gonna want to keep a close watch on the Chargers. Rumors are the team is not happy with Brandon Staley, and heaven knows the Spanos family can do some off the wall things. As to Steichen, nearly all of his coaching history is there. He's well-known and popular in the organization.
