  1. As a pure safety, I'd agree. Chinn has yet to show that he can put up the kind of production he did during his rookie year as a hybrid safety / linebacker while only playing one role.
  2. Ask Smitty to take some practice reps...
  3. Not to worry. His MO (i.e. only talking about other posters rather than actually saying much of anything about football) is pretty well known here, enough so that nobody really takes him seriously except to jerk his chain every once in awhile.
  4. Same. Disagreement isn't the same thing as disrespect.
  5. You talk about me more than you talk about football (but then given how little you actually seem to know about football, that's probably not a surprise) Should I seek a restraining order?
  6. Joe Brady was a big reason that he was picked where he was. Brady isn't here anymore.
  7. There was a mention of it from one guy but I haven't seen anything about it since. We'd all be happy to see it, but the reality is that should have been done already. That said, Rhule stated that he wouldn't name a starter until after this week's game.
  8. Butler's attitude killed his career here. He came in expecting to be a starter, then the guy he was drafted to replace re-upped and suddenly he was a backup. Didn't handle it well.
  9. Unnecessary because we had actual NFL coaches...
  10. There are a few I wouldn't mind keeping.
  11. Nobody questioned that he would win the job. What annoys people is that being a rookie, he'd need as many snaps as possible to get up to speed in the pros at his chosen position. Putting him in a phony competition denies him beneficial reps (same as with Mayfield).
  12. If you've got a YouTube account you can upload to then you can just post the link. (imagine it works for other video hosting sites also)
  13. To be fair, that could just be a mistake on his part. Hope it's true though...
  14. Can't say I do. You have any links to that?
  15. If you should happen to find yourself needing a refresher on any of these guys... Ben McAdoo Sean Ryan Matt Lombardi Jeff Nixon Joe Dailey Kevin M Gilbride James Campen Robert Kugler Phil Snow Paul Pasqualoni Terrance Knighton Don Johnson Al Holcomb Mike Siravo Steve Wilks Evan Cooper Chris Tabor Ed Foley
  16. Wrong Gilbride. Kevin M is his son. Original Kevin (i.e. the one who got socked by Buddy Ryan) is retired.
  17. On the competition thing, I'm not a big fan of using psycho-manipulative type techniques when coaching adults. If they can't be motivated into doing a good job, I don't think they can be tricked into it. As far as Ekwonu, he definitely doesn't strike me as someone who needs any additional motivation. he could likely use some additional practice though. To be clear, the quarterback who isn't going to make the team is PJ Walker. Word from the radio was that he was being showcased in the hope of helping him find his next job once the Panthers cut him. That's just flat stupid. Helping PJ Walker find other NFL employment is absolutely not the Panthers responsibility. Getting Matt Corral up to speed is though, and seeing reps that could go to a guy with a future here wasted on a guy who doesn't is pretty much coaching malpractice. Bottom Line on Rhule: Two years of five win seasons where the second one actually looked even worse than the first is enough for me.
  18. Granted, but the O-line was built to his specifications.
