I haven't seen any specifics on it but I'm kinda wondering how a football stadium catches fire
-
Someone could conceivably ask him when David Tepper will be talking.

Mike Tomlin is buying everybody dinner...
-
Well not the Broncos exactly, but their stadium is...was

Just looked. She said it was hypothetical.

Tom Selleck? Well I guess if Tom Selleck can't get him... -

Rivera tried that and ended up with Carson Wentz.

Trading for a guy who really doesn't want to play for you is a pretty dicey proposition. I don't really think Mayfield would have a problem sitting out.
-
Oh, I think the mutual disinterest is probably legitimate. The question for me is whether Matt Rhule changes his mind if there aren't any other options.
-
From what I've heard people say, not much of one. Maybe a fifth rounder if that. But given how many free agents we've signed, I'm not expecting anything.
-
There are also reports that he doesn't want us.

I think you have to look first at teams who have the most need at quarterback. But with the draft coming up, the timing might not be ideal.

Gantt didn't seem to think so in his Q&A piece from earlier today.

Because we're trading for Desha...wait, nevermind
-
I have a feeling that's gonna be the most likely outcome, even if it's not the one the Panthers really want.

I have a hard time imagining Ekwonu falling to us. I'd absolutely take him if he did, but that's tough to picture. If you want a third contestant, that might be Trevor Penning. And yes, there are mocks that have him being taken at six.
-
Which leads to the question of who's willing to take him and his salary? That's what you've got to answer before any of this happens.
-
I don't really want any of 'em. But I'm getting myself prepared for the idea that I'm gonna have to hope for the best with one of 'em.
-
Would they like him better than Neal if Neal were to fall, though?
-
If that happens, I gotta believe pick six is used on a quarterback. (which is kinda unfortunate wording)

Most mock drafts have Charles Cross dropping at least as far as #6, but lately a surprising number of the ones I've seen also have Evan Neal dropping that far. If it came down to that choice, which one would you favor and why?
-
I don't mind the idea of an "improvement index" but doing it before any of the games are played seems kinda silly.

Me neither, but it happens. It's also often true that the longer free agency goes, the cheaper available guys get.
