    The Panthers think he is. In fact, in their draft evaluations they had him rated higher as a guard than they did as a tackle.

    If they manage to pick up another first round pick by trading McCaffrey or some other unknown means, I'll be firmly of the belief that our first pick will be a quarterback. The second first rounder would likely be used on an offensive lineman, maybe Trevor Penning or someone like that.

    I don't think it's guaranteed they see it that way. Rhule still needs to save his job, and he may not believe that a rookie quarterback is capable of doing that.

    Does it? I'd like to think it does, but we don't know that for sure. And as far as this not having a second round pick this year, there are other forms of compensation. I'm not a fan of this idea, but I'm not yet ready to rule it out. And of course if we do make the trade, I definitely hope it's for a lower price than what they're currently asking.

    I don't give a damn if he wears three pairs of socks as long as he's good. I'm not wanting to draft a quarterback this year but I won't be thrown off by something as inconsequential as whether he wears gloves.

    Reversal... She was probably fed info by an agent or someone affiliated with Fisher. Checked with a team source and they said "no".

    Just to put the final capstone on this discussion... Guess all those behind the scenes machinations that were supposedly going on just didn't work out, huh? (or maybe they never happened) Regardless, as old Dandy Don would say, "Turn out the lights. The party's over."
