  1. We could take a flier on him in the 7th even if we did go QB early. We only have one QB under contract currently. Sign a veteran and let the rest of them battle it out for roster spots. You need backup QB's in the NFL too.
  2. Duggan is a nice college player but he routinely showed at the Senior Bowl why he will likely be a third day pick in the draft. His skills are largely below average at the NFL level.
  3. It is the strangest thing on the planet to have a following and be such a bad player. I will never understand how some people still see him as anything but what he is, one of the worst starting QB's we have ever had.
  4. I am not worried about the Saints with Allen as the coach. They only become a worry if they get a legit head coach. Make no mistake, they are still talented and their drafting has been pretty successful. I am not predicting they will stink until I see their drafting start tanking.
  5. Mock drafts are only somewhat believable once the evaluation periods gets going in full bore(usually post-Combine). Then all the scouts and FO types start leaking info or the interest about specific players becomes more obvious so that the mock drafters can be even remotely accurate.
  6. I understand that maybe some people in the organization might be on Levis.....I get that(not agree but I get it). But making that kind of trade to get him? Bruh.....start at the top and start firing until you reach the field.
  7. Cowherd and Sapp are two of the biggest trolls around. Neither of them is likely to be accurate.
  8. Pretty sure you just lost any chance of being credible by quoting Cowturd. He is the David Newton of being a poor man's Jim Rome.
  9. If you want to experience stroke like symptoms, read on: 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Marino 5.0 1. Carolina Panthers (via CHI)* Will Levis QB, Kentucky TRADE CAR gets: 2023 1st-round pick (No. 1) CHI gets: 2023 1st-round pick (No. 9), 2023 2nd-round pick (No. 40), 2024 1st-round pick, 2024 3rd-round pick, 2025 1st-round pick In Frank Reich, the Carolina Panthers hired the first offensive-minded head coach in franchise history. And after years of choosing to not participate in drafting a first-round quarterback despite having chances to do it, Carolina could go all-in to get their guy. There are plenty of rumblings that guy is Will Levis, who has all the physical makeup and intangibles to be a franchise quarterback. A coach like Reich could unlock his potential and set the course for the future. https://thedraftnetwork.com/2023-nfl-mock-draft-anderson-wilson-murphy/
  10. Won't happen. Even the Saints aren't that dumb.
  11. Yeah, I think people are underestimating Payton's ego. Reference Taysom The Golden Calf of Bristol.
  12. Yeah, UNC was not worthy of a bid last year, IMO. Especially with the ACC looking so insanely weak in the regular season. Then the tourney comes and all the ACC teams go on a tear.
  13. David Newton is about as reliable as Ms. Cleo when it comes to Carolina Panthers news.
  14. I can tell you that while UNC wasn't as obviously dirty as UK, they were definitely one of the dirtiest in the ACC. Easily top 5. You didn't exist at that level of college basketball without being dirty. It's just the way it was. That's why I could never jump on that bandwagon when it came to impermissible benefits. It was too easy to see how common it was.
  15. They can try all they want but the details of that situation are public knowledge. They aren't going to be able to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. Carr basically already gave them the finger by not letting them extend the period to deal him. In a week(ish), he will be a free agent.
  16. I can't explain it either. We just seem to think any JAG WR can get it done.
  17. Zero chance I will ever say any names(I did know about Wall long before he committed). I never blamed any of the kids that I knew took money and I will never put their names out there for that. I will say that most of those guys don't get directly involved. There is almost always some amount of separation so that the head coach has plausible deniability.
  18. Not 100% sure we will have that luxury. Depends on what we do in free agency.
  19. Richardson's ceiling is so insanely high that some FO is going to fall in love. Unless he tanks at the combine and his workouts, he will be taken in the 1st. I think Levis is going to be a love him or hate him guy. A lot of the anonymous scout quotes seem to indicate he is liked better by the scouting community than the TV bobblehead community.
  20. I also think Levis and Richardson could fall. But, remember, it only takes one dumb team....
  21. Honestly, if you have to keep a guy on the bench for more than a season so he learns the position, he wasn't worth a top 10 pick. You need to be able to step in and learn on the field. That is your best learning experience anyway. In the NFL you either figure it out or you don't.
