  1. I would assume a Moton extension is inevitable unless he is just sick of being here and wants to force the issue.
  2. Taking elite athletes is excellent but if they struggled in college, that should get a TON of scrutiny. Same for guys that are insanely productive in college but are clearly system guys with very low floors. Don't get enamored with any individual thing. Don't hyperfocus on the little things and miss the full picture. Also, don't take a bunch of outliers or "gut instinct" guys.
  3. Agreed. Insane ceiling but I don't think you can risk anything before the 4th round. I will say the idea of he, Shaq and Luvu in that LB corps would be nice. Tons of sideline to sideline abilities and two pass rushers. 2nd to 4th round has a lot of good LB prospects though. I have to say that should eventually pop for BPA.
  4. BPA all day. Our roster is insanely bad. We have to improve starting talent AND depth.
  5. That trio is our best odds of success, ATM. Unless there is a big name out there we are not aware of.
  6. The NHL officials are better than the NBA and NFL officials. Possibly by a significant amount.
  7. I can't envision being able to stay up long enough to see this. Fading quickly.
  8. Yep. We cannot afford to keep whiffing on top 3 round picks. It's BRUTAL to recover from.
  9. He was at 6-1.5 and 197 at the Senior Bowl. He is plenty big enough, he just isn't a physical player. That's not necessarily a huge deal but it is when you have questionable hands, technique and limited route tree. He might be a project that pans out but we just aren't in a position to be that deep into a developmental player when our WR corps is so insanely bad.
  10. Agreed. He matches the profile of a player that just is not going to be able to provide quick help in an offense that desperately needs it. He's a project
  11. That really isn't even about arm strength, you need to be able to scheme up getting the ball to explosive playmakers in space and let them make plays. Those are high percentage plays.
  12. Yeah, we heard that about TMJ and Mingo too. We need playmakers so if you struggle being consistent with making plays, all those RAS scores don't matter much. Ask KC how Toney has worked out. If you want someone that can actually help that kid from UGa at the combine consistently created separation, ran crisp routes and caught the ball well. Lower athletic floor, no doubt, but he will make plays. That is why I am not going to get too enamored with the Size/Length/Speed demons if they have issues with underperforming, catching the ball well or route running. We keep making these same mistakes and it is time to be smarter as an organization.
  13. He has NFL athletic ability for sure but he's pretty unpolished. Not a great route runner and he had some hands issues at UNC too. If he is available later in the draft(4th rounder or later), that's a high ceiling gamble that makes a ton of sense. But he is unlikely to be able to help us a lot in the short term, so it would not make much sense given where we are currently. We need guys that can be competing in the two deep from day one, TBH. Our roster is atrocious.
  14. That was one of the big problems at the Senior Bowl, his hands were not good. Dropped a lot of balls.
  15. He did not look good at the Senior Bowl. Project guy at the moment which is really not something we need. High ceiling, very low floor.
  16. I think it is easy to have varying opinions of Brian Burns but Brown is a such a clear "must sign" guy. I say this as a VERY on the record "I think Brown is a bust" guy. He is basically the best elite player on our roster. Frankly, you have maybe 2-3 guys at best even in that discussion. He is a way more important part of our defense than Burns.
  17. I can't necessarily agree with that. It's about the scenario. He's better than what we have had under Tepper(most likely better than our recent hire, if I am being honest) but that's a low bar. That's sort of what we are as an organization, a low bar. So in current condition, Wilks is a dude. In the IDEAL situation, he isn't the coach you would want.
  18. I won't dispute that he played well in that game but he is genuinely a bust. I am not really making an argument about Wilks or the D overall, I am just saying he sucks.
  19. It's not an argument. It's a fact. He is a bust. This has nothing to do with the SF defense(which was once again elite). Chase Young just sucks.
  20. He was a downgrade from Saleh and Ryans but it was a small step. IMO, he is the scapegoat for Shanahan's failures.
  21. Preaching to the choir, brother. That poo is so disgusting. You can't have any sort of reasonable discussion without it basically being a live troll battle. I hate it.
