I will remind you that the Canes went through a 9 year playoff drought and the attendance DEFINITELY reflected it. Any team will suffer in those conditions. The Panthers are in the worst period in franchise history, so some of our attendance issues should be very understandable.

It's like clockwork. Every spring it will be pining excessively over some insane longshot or player with local ties. I get all the feel good stories and wanting to root for them. That stuff is great. But the wild hyperbole and insane hot takes are so ridiculous. There are multitudes od reasons why a lot of these guys never pan out. And then you point that out and you get thrown the handful of examples that made it. Because, you know, if one guy ever made it that's proof positive in the face of the overwhelming statistical data showing how few of these guys pan out.

Why am I not surprised that the dumbest of the Huddle bristled at a completely factual statement?

That's my personal threshold for success for a UDFA. If you make the roster for a single season, it was a great success.

Yeah but the investment level by some of these guys is completely insane. Every year it is the same thing, predictions that "XYZ" UDFA is going to be a starter, All Pro, HOFer, etc. The odds are astronomical for most of those scenarios.

Another offseason, another list of UDFA's that the Huddle gets way too excited over.

As a 5th rounder, that's about all you can ask.

You don't trade up to get a mid round QB in one of the worst QB classes in recent memory. That's just stupid. It shouldn't be a shock to anyone if we move on, nor if he never plays any meaningful snaps in the NFL.

Hated to see the run on Edge players at the end. Was looking forward to having some options. WR pool is thinned out for sure. Will be interesting to see what we do. I suspect a trade down is likely.
