  1. Well, do remember that each Conference got an extra playoff spot now, it is actually a little easier to back into the playoffs.
  2. It's all academic until we start playing games. I don't believe it's impossible to have a terrible season, especially had we been facing the spector of seeing Darnold for most of the year(you have to assume eventually Corral would get a shot in that scenario). My argument for the low win total projection is that our season's house of cards largely revolves around a bunch of "if's" panning out. If our OL improves, if our QB play improves, if CMC stays healthy, if our DL improves, if our LB's improve, if our DB's improve, if our OC works out, etc, etc, etc. I just don't see enough of those "if's" turning out our way in one offseason for us to make that next step up as a team. We will see. I am perfectly happy to be wrong and watch winning football again. I just don't view that as terribly likely.
  3. Oh I am not saying Baker can't elevate us as a team but there is only so far a QB cam elevate a team with bad coaching and/or poor personnel. That's my prediction for Baker. I think with Baker we are a 5-7 win team. Without Baker probably a 2-4 win team.
  4. Yeah but Baker playing at a high level may not lead to winning. Do you remember recent Superb Owl champion Matt Stafford's entire career with the Lions? Do you remember Matt Ryan's time with Atlanta? Deshaun Watson with Houston? You can be a really good or even elite QB and not be able to overcome shitty coaching or just a poo situation. Hell, look at our own Cam Newton.
  5. This I could see, although the 49ers may be reticent to trade him inside the division without a haul in return.
  6. I would say possible but unlikely. I suspect we are going to finally see Rhule prove himself as the NFL's worst head coach. TBH, anything less than a winning record will cement that. Especially with all the hype about our offseason.
  7. I predict Jordan, Mays and Erving from that final grouping.
  8. This is how you end up being mentally ill. Being on social media enough that you post about DM's people send you with screenshots of things people say about you in some random internet forum. That's a tough life, living second to second staring at a cell phone screen.
  9. It was an intelligence test. You both failed.
  10. This is why he doesn't get many quality veterans interested in coming here. Ignorant poo like this. That and he can't win any games, of course.
  11. You learn by playing. That is literally the job of a professional football player and ESPECIALLY first round picks. There is no excuse for being as dense as Rhule is being. The fact is that he has no fuging idea what he is doing when it comes to poo like this. He cannot get his head out of a HS/college mentality.
  12. You draft a LT that high, he is your starter. That's just how it goes. He takes his lumps and learns on the job. Literally almost every top 15 drafted left tackle in the last decade has started at....TACKLE. So if we don't do that, it isn't because Rhule has figured something out other coaches haven't. It's that he hasn't figured out what everyone else already knew.
  13. Pats with a strict no camera policy? Gee, I wonder why they do that....
  14. My guess is that they both end up at LT. One will be riding the pine, while some turnstile will be at LG.
  15. Matt Corral just offered to be the best man in my wedding and I am not even engaged. This guy is a gem.
  16. To be fair, it's hard to judge payment AFTER production. That's like saying CMC has been a killer deal for us. I love DJ but he will still have to live up to his current contract. That's a future thing. not a past thing.
  17. Yeah, McVay already got insanely frustrated with a far better version of Darnold.
  18. I would still rather the reps be split between Corral and Mayfield but after Corral's own comments I tend to agree. His skill set seems to be suited to what we are doing but he needs some seasoning.
  19. I was told he was the best player in this draft. Then he worked out and most of those voices got quiet.
  20. Remember the NFL did technically want a longer suspension and a large fine. This was the decision by the arbitrator based on previous cases she selected that were "similar."
