Only his last season with us (the Chris Weinkie, 1-15 season) was truly terrible. He had us in playoff contention until the very last week of the season both his first 2 years.

LOL Seifert is a Hall of Fame coach, and won FIVE Super Bowls as an Assistant and Head Coach. Even though he was not very successful in his short time here, comparing Rhule and Seifert is like comparing apples and the Hubble Space Telescope. GS went 8-8 his first season, also he was the GM who landed us Steve Smith and Kris Jenkins.

That just puts us behind the 8-ball for any future coaching hire. Dumb move if he already knows Rhule is a goner.

This seems like something that could be taken 2 ways. Like, Meyer was probably doing all this jokingly. I highly doubt dude just came up outta nowhere and maliciously booted his starting kicker in his plant leg, and then cussed him out. Don't get me wrong here, im not defending Meyer at all, hes a douche nozzle...just saying it seems awful strange that a head coach, new to the job at this point, would come up and physically assault a player out of the blue, doesnt it? Sounds like this was part of the full court press by the players to get Meyer canned.

I don't get drafting a QB in Round 2 if we're also going to be trading for Jimmy G in this scenario. Use that pick for offensive line help.

Rivera, for all his faults, is the best coach in Panthers history. And the difference between him and Rhule could not be more stark. Hes got Washington winning games with Taylor freaking Heinicke at QB. His teams are always competitive. Meanwhile we get the poo kicked out of us by the Giants and Dolphins.

Horn is a beast. There was absolutely no problem with that pick. As the team stood on that day, we had a GLARING need for a CB and Horn filled it. Also he was looking awesome before his injury. Hell the Cowboys were going to draft Horn had we not taken him first. Such is life. We would have drafted Sewell had he not been taken 1 pick before us.

I hear you man, and you might be right...but IMO we could have Lombardi himself coaching this team, and it will not matter until we get a real QB and a real Offensive Line.

I see moving on from Teddy IF there is a better option available. Obviously Sam Darnold and the Ghost of Cam Newton are NOT better options. We just need to draft a QB and go from there. Unless we magically trade the farm for Watson, Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers there is not going to be anybody else worth the resources involved via trade. We gotta just draft our guy. Pickett will probably be available when we pick.

We looked better last year because we had an actual, functioning NFL offense last year. Turns out, Teddy was not the problem and we probably should have just kept him. Hindsight is a bitch sometimes.

Rivera was goddamn Lombardi compared to Matt Rhule. They are not even close to the same. Rivera is an actual, true to life NFL Head Coach. Im not really sure what Matt Rhule is anymore.

He’s not worth 60 dollars, much less 60 million dollars. What an absolute finesse job by Rhule. Gotta respect that.

Personally I think the exact opposite. Fitterer is the lone bright spot in the front office/coaching staff. Honestly I wanna see what kinda coach he’s going to hire once Rhule is inevitably let go soon.
