  1. Yep. I have a feeling that Joe Brady is going to scheme his ever-loving ass off next year, and in the process make Sam Darnold look like a million bucks. Then Brady will become a Head Coach in the next offseason, and thats where the rubber really meets the road. Gonna be an interesting next couple of years in Charlotte!
  2. Highly highly doubt we take a QB at 8, regardless of whom is there. My opinion is that we’re gonna roll the dice with Sam this year for better or worse and we are in a sweet spot to land the top talent at whatever non-QB position we want.
  3. Lol what? No chance in Gods Green Earth would ANYBODY trade us a first round pick for Teddy. Much less a top 10 pick. Although how incredible would it be to have back to back picks in the top 10. We would be so set up for success it’s ridiculous.
  4. If both Sewell and say, Lance are still available that will be one difficult choice. But, I think that the trade for Sarnold seals our fate with not taking a QB in Round 1, regardless of the smoke out there right now. We have bigger needs to fill with our first pick. Either that or trade back a few picks and hope to God that Sewell or Slater are still there.
  5. Hear Hear. If the stars align, and the Gods smile upon us, and we somehow land Sewell at 8, everything else that happens after that is gravy. Imagine bookending Taylor Moton and Sewell at T for the next 5-10 years. That’s how you build a championship team. If that does happen we will be setting Darnold up to shine.
  6. Well good thing we’re in a prime position to draft a stud at LT at 8.
  7. What did Gase ever do to deserve that much responsibility?
  8. Ideally all the pieces work hand in hand to create something greater than the individual parts. Football is the ultimate team game. A franchise QB is the most important part of that team, but not the end all-be all.
  9. Replace Teddy with someone like Stafford LAST YEAR and we are challenging for a Wild Card spot all season. Now, this season the overall roster seems much improved with the draft still to remain. No team has no holes - but having your franchise QB in place with no questions around him certainly helps cover said holes up.
  10. What do you think about the level of competition Wilson faced at BYU? I have seen the splits on his performance between the cupcakes the usually played, and when they actually played a good team - and they are not good.
  11. Does Wilson have a stronger arm than Sam? From what I have seen they look pretty similar.
  12. It already exists and its narrated by Namath himself. Check it out - its one of the best sports documentaries ive ever seen. Just called "Namath" on HBO.
  13. What I think is going to happen next year is this - Joe Brady is going to scheme his everloving ass off for Darnold each and every game, and Darnold is going to look like a million bucks in the process of this. He will have a career year, and possibly lead the Panthers to the playoffs. Then, Brady is going to get snatched away for a Head Coach position, and invariably, Darnold is going to fall back to his normal state of being the year after that - and everybody is going to be looking at each other like WTF happened. Well, Joe Brady happened. We've seen it before with Hot Shot, young, "genius" OC's. See Sean McVay and Kyle Shannahan. They schemed mediocre, young QBs to career years, and then when they left, these QBs poo the bed. I think Darnold has a real shot here - but I am always going to be wondering (at least this year), is the a Darnold thing, or is it a Brady thing? Maybe a combination of both?
  14. I wish my name was Dick Hammer.
  15. Much more excited. I can't wait to see this offense with a QB who actually has the ability, and is not scared of throwing the ball down the field. Also a healthy CMC and the additions of Reddick and the others on Defense. I think we are absolutely a better team at this point now than last year, and we still have the draft with the 8th pick.
  16. Did he really turn the ball over a lot in college? 9 picks his first season starting, and 13 the next which is somewhat high....but not crazy.
