  1. No team is set at every position group. I’m sure the Rams fans think they have holes just like we do. Especially with them trading every 1st rounder they’ve had for a decade and handing out market setting contracts to many vets. That’s just how the NFL is set up. No team is going to have studs at every single position.
  2. Goddamn imagine Stanford in this offense with these weapons. He’d have thrown for 5000 yards.
  3. Wilson is really 6'3"?!?! Damn, he looks like Johnny Manziel back there to me.
  4. Yeah, physically he definitely reminds me of Pickles. And lest we forget, Clausen was very highly regarded coming out of Notre Dame.
  5. Exactly. As a QB you never just want to stand there flat-footed. He has been coached to have "happy feet", as has every single other QB in the NFL.
  6. I hope Rhule has all these articles saying Sam is the worst QB in the league taped to the walls of his locker.
  7. Brown and Jones in the middle should be quite beastly. Im hoping we're VASTLY improved in run/3rd down defense. That alone would make a world of difference.
  8. But thats the thing - his body of work was just fine for a young, developing QB for his first 2 seasons. Its only last season which was putrid. His first 2 seasons he was ~60% passing with a 17/15 and 19/13 TD to INT ratio. Even last year was 9/11 so its not like hes some Jameis Winston level turnover machine. Hes got a cannon for an arm, is very athletic and has a quick release. Objectively I just do not get all the hate for the guy.
  9. Thats what I am failing to understand - Sam only played 1 half of football and completed 76% of his passes for 160 yards, 2 TDs and 0 turnovers. In what world is that "struggling"? If thats bad, I will take bad every single game. That would only be 5440 yards and 68 TDs if he played at that pace all season. LOL.
  10. Sam is pretty much the opposite of a game manager. He and Dilfer share almost nothing in common relating to their play styles. Sams style is more poor mans Aaron Rodgers than Trent Dilfer.
  11. Our D was all over the place in the Pre Season. They got heat on the QB a lot, and forced multiple turnovers each game if I am not mistaken. Sunday is our national coming out party. Everybody is gonna know who Brian Burns is at 430 PM on Sunday.
  12. There is a huge false narrative out there that Sam is just some terrible turnover machine. His first 2 seasons he had a positive TD/INT ratio. He was actually developing as a young QB should.\ Rookie Year - 57%, 2865, 17 - 15 2nd Year (also mono year) - 62%, 3024, 19-13 Last year was not good - 60%, 2208, 9 - 11 - BUT, the entire organization was in tank mode and had completely given up on their head coach, who is God Awful. They had the worst O-Line and the worst group of skill position players in the entire NFL. Not exactly the case here in Charlotte. All Im trying to say is before last year, Sam was developing into a nice, young NFL QB, and he was maturing and his stats were improving. I sincerely think last season he had the entire deck stacked against him and it was an aberration in his overall progress. I think we see very big things from Sam and from the offense. People let the media decide their opinions for them. And that opinion on Sam has morphed into him somehow being the worst QB in the NFL, when the film and the numbers hardly show that at all. In short, fug the media, and fug the haters. Thanks for attending my TED Talk.
  13. Yes. We are MUCHHHHHHH further along now than at this time last year. We should be vastly improved in almost all areas of the game. I just cannot see another middling, 5 win season. I honestly think we will do serious work this year and be in the run for a playoff spot.
  14. This is a fan site. We have not even played 1 game yet. The roster is vastly improved over last year. What do you get out of being a downer before we've even set foot on the field when it matters? Everyone should be optimistic at this point.
  15. LOL dude he completed like 75% of his passes for 160 yards and 2 TDs / no turnovers in 1 half of football. I will take that every single game and so will the team.
  16. Why wouldn't he be voted a Captain? There are not many teams in the NFL that start non-rookie QBs who are NOT Captains.
