Now I normally don't pay much heed to random "NFL update" accounts, but what's intriguing is seeing their history of getting stuff right.

For a guy Vikings fans clamor is washed, it is interesting to note that his supposed zero separation is not as bad as they would claim it is. Sure, his best days are likely behind him, but he certainly does not appear to be done just yet. Could very well still have a bit of gas in the tank, and hopefully the Panthers use it to their advantage. At the least, his veteran presence and red zone production is a positive add to a young WR room, and a great swiss army knife for a rookie QB to utilize.

Wonder how much of that $10 million is a signing bonus, which spreads the cap hit.

Panthers agree to terms with Broncos DL DeShawn Williams

Apparently an Evero connection and a big dude per Broncos fans. Former Clemson player. I don't know anything else about this guy though. -

Saints get RB Jamaal Williams for 3 year deal
Saca312 replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
Foreman should be cheap hopefully. -
Wonder what this means for Alvin Kamara...

Per this tweet from a source who's personally connected with the RB in question, appears Panthers are part of the mix in aiming for Jamaal Williams of the Lions. Unsure if this implies that Foreman is gone, or if it's just due dilligence, but interesting to note we're a part of this.

In-Depth Film Evaluation on QB Anthony Richardson
Saca312 replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
What I'm thinking is NFL teams will likely be impressed by his performance, but nothing that will alter their board with him. Everyone knew he would be a stud at the combine. Now, how they evaluate his film determines his place on their boards, and chances are that means that he hasn't moved much on anyone's radar despite the media hype. -
Oh I agree. I just found a link that worked, but it really was a fluff article of speculation. King assumed the panthers probably wouldn’t want Carr per last month, and of course news today says otherwise, and at the least they are doing their due diligence.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10066942-peter-king-aaron-rodgers-derek-carr-not-eyed-by-raiders-colts-texans-panthers NBC Sports' Peter King reported none of the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Las Vegas Raiders or the Carolina Panthers "wants to scotch-tape a veteran like 39-year-old Aaron Rodgers and probably not Derek Carr." Sounds like speculation on Carr, not definitive.

In-Depth Film Evaluation on QB Anthony Richardson
Saca312 replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
Honestly dream scenario. Stroud is my favorite of the bunch, would love that to happen. -
At this point, it seems highly unlikely the Panthers will have a shot at moving to where they can grab Stroud or Young. With the non-QB needing teams who want to trade also likely to more enamored by one of the top defensive prospects, teams ahead will likely get either Young or Stroud before the Panthers have a shot. Resultingly, that leaves the likes of Anthony Richardson and Will Levis. With the Combine underway, the hype for Richardson should soar if past history should repeat itself. His athletic potential will be off the charts, and once his film is dissected, may be more favorable to be one of top eight QBs picked. With Richardson and Levis most likely within firing range, I figured I'd search around for any film evaluation on him. Ian Wharton does the job again, dissecting all of Richardson's games from last year. He has a different, more optimistic outlook on Richardson, in which he may be more pro-ready and fixable early than thought. His highs, obviously, are tops in the league, and the prevailing question is whether he can put it together early. Similarly to Cam Newton, seems Richardson may have a bit of misconceptions about his game. He is a better passer than given credit for, and seems a lot of issues stemmed from Florida's more QB-less friendly scheme and bad luck. Sure, he has work to do with mechanics and high throws. That has been highlighted, but he also shows a lot of good too - more than most would think. Overall, these seem to be Ian's thoughts and I certainly think he brings forth a good perspective. Feel free to grant your own opinion too and look through this thread, it's full of great stuff. If the Panthers do not get Stroud or Young, I certainly wouldn't mind Richardson. Funnily enough, I'd be content with any of the top 4 QBs, as I feel all have great potential to be the future. With the Panthers coaching staff and direction, any QB chosen will have a great situation to grow and improve, and despite Richardson's raw attributes, everything appears coachable and I'd say potentially ready by day one.
