Albright: Panthers circling on Pickett
Verge replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ehhh I did think we liked Mac Jones but idk about "completely off". This was my final say on the board and on twitter. Last time I will post this, promise lol. -

Gosh I have heard such varied things on Howell. I have heard 3rd round and I have heard middle of the 1st. I think your Steelers connection is correct. I think Howell will ultimately go in round 1, maybe much higher than where he is being mocked now. -

Yeah I had admitted I was totally dooped on Mac Jones. There was a lot out there about him, the team I was connected to had him penciled in at 3. Shannahan runs a great smokescreen, Rhule does not. -

I have never said we are taking Willis. Willis is who I would like them to take. He is my QB1. -

Ehhh, I just think Rhule is incredibly bad at keeping secrets. When this comes from multiple angles (Myself, Albright, Florio) it becomes kind of hard to ignore. Smokescreens usually fall under less reputable people (referring to Flores and Albright, not me). There is also a history of it being obvious when they are going to take someone, Derrick Brown being the obvious. I do not we would trade down and take Pickett, they would just take him at 6. -
Hell yeah dude, I love watching Penning tape. He is mean as hell. Reminds me of Mike McGlinchey.

I really do think he could have played till 50.

It still stings like hell, but I have to respect the GOAT for what he is. Hell of a Super Bowl against him, and almost all of our games against him were always memorable. Respect to the GOAT.

Trading Back-What could we get for the #6 pick? Is it worth it?
Verge replied to Michael G's topic in Carolina Panthers
Alabama game didn't help. Needs a good week at the Senior Bowl. -

Someone is going to take him in the top 10. He is worth it. -
On the big board, all but one of those tackles are over the QBs, but QB is such a need to have position you cannot kick it down the road.

If someone wants to trade up to 6 for a QB, we should probably just take the QB.- 59 replies

I have said before, there is only two positions this pick could be. It's either a tackle or a quarterback. No way in hell we take a corner, obviously. Trade down seems unlikely in this market, and if a qb is there that someone wants, take the qb. Preference list: 1. Malik Willis 2. Kenny Pickett 3. Evan Neal 4. Ikem Ekwonu 5. Charles Cross One of those guys will be there, we just have to make it happen.

Not to contradict because this is a good thread but Patrick Mahomes college record: 13-19 Josh Allen college record: 16-11 Aaron Rodgers college record: 18-8

I am really not looking forward to these threads for the next 8 months.

Signing Donte over Gilmore would make literally no sense.

What a clown show that we see tweets about interviews for HC and GM positions followed by "Carolina interviewed Scottie Montgomery for OC" lmao
