  1. Hey I read a meme about something that factually is true but has no influence on the future, so here's a new thread where I use that to support my opinion despite there being dozens of other threads discussing the same topic Never change huddle
  2. Lol this is such an absurd take. Over nine years, he had one excellent wide receiver for his first 3 years (Steve Smith). In his prime, his "#1 receivers" were Kelvin Benjamin, Ted Ginn and Devin Funchess. Not to mention the Shula offense which was reliant on his threat to run, of course he wasn't going to lead the league in passing yards. And the offensive line, we just wanted functional - rather than relying on dudes like Matt Kalil, Chris Clark, Byron Bell, Nate Chandler, and Brian Folkerts to protect your best asset. Imagine if we surrounded this new rookie QB with trash like that how mad we'd be.
  3. I just found the thread for the Smith PC. Amazing stuff https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1321518
  4. I feel like he got more hate on here than he deserved. I get that part of it is because he was a Rhule guy.
  5. Also it’s the name of the star running back from the movie Friday Night Lights
  6. Have to have the illusion of competing I guess
  7. The Matthew Stafford package had to be two firsts so they could dump Jared Goffs contract. But the packers have the jets by the balls now because Rodgers waited so long to decide what he wants. They missed Carr and Jimmy g and surely don’t want to trot out wentz or Ryan with this team.
  8. Man, like every coach in the league would be fired under these circumstances
  9. I mean three seasons or playoffs is pretty much the rule for any head coach.
  10. I wouldn’t have an issue with them signing Lazard, he’s very underrated. But bringing in Randall Cobb in the slot when you have a more explosive player like Elijah Moore on a rookie deal and Marcedes Lewis who has played long enough to wear a leather helmet? Yikes.
  11. guess someone at wikipedia screwed up. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/3051388/vonn-bell
  12. Add Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson, and RG3. Before you asterisk jackson for only starting half the season, they won 6 out of the 7 games he started vs Flacco who was 4-5. And while they didn’t win their division, mac jones, luck, Andy Dalton, mark Sanchez, joe Flacco, and Matt Ryan all made the playoffs in year 1.
  13. The Huddle before the 2021 draft "Wait until 2022, let's be patient and we will end up with an even better QB than any in this class like Spencer Rattler or Sam Howell"
  14. Toney wasn’t an FA, midseason trade for a 3rd and 6th
  15. No he didn’t. John Fox was Tebows coach when they made the playoffs. McDaniels was fired the previous year.
  16. They started off really bad but improved as the season went along. They ended up having the top rusher in the entire league.
  17. You can say whatever you want too. Doesn’t mean you are correct. What exactly did the eagles defense do in this game to help them win? 31 points given up despite the chiefs only converting 4 3rd downs (facing 8 of them), No sacks, no turnovers, 6 yards per carry, two walk in touchdowns on the same play call, guys running wide open against a QB that was playing on one leg in the second half. It wasn’t the chiefs video game offense of the past with hill destroying people over the top, and the eagles defense was not a group of untalented JAGs that are just supposed to be there to keep the field warm. This tells me that the outcoaching was chiefs offense vs Phillys defense/DC. The offense scored 35 points, had over 400 yards, converted 3rd and 4th downs at 65%, won time of possession (so please don’t come at me with the defense is tired argument). The one mistake that hurt them was a fluky fumble on third down that went for 6. I get that you’ve dug your heels in making this reactionary thread, but you’re not convincing me (or most anyone else) that Steichen sucks, it’s his and the offenses primary fault the eagles lost. If you didn’t want him as a coach that’s fine, but why not apply these standards to one of the guys you’re arguing for in Kafka who managed 7 whole points a few weeks ago against the same group?
