I have zero faith that Alvin Kamara won't fug us sideways today. As such I think the Saints get the W. -

This might be as epic a QB battle as the Todd Collins - Jimmy Clausen showdown from 2010 where they passed for a combined 93 yards and 5 INTs -

Slightly ot but he's absolutely playing his ass off. If we can get anything like that then sign me up. Thanks to him Cincinnati might get their first playoff win since Super Mario Bros 3 was a hot new video game. -

Cameron Jordan runs to the Panthers bench in the first quarter and just starts punching Cam in the face. Panthers are penalized for an unsportsmanlike and the Charlotte Observer calls out Newton for his lack of leadership and immaturity. Cam says he has to handle getting assaulted better and it's not about him in the postgame presser. Early in the third quarter the Saints run out of QBs and call Alejandro Lastra down from the luxury box to kneel out the last 30 minutes of the game. Saints win 40-6 while Robby Anderson practices first down points on the sidelines.- 38 replies

Reminds me of Bill Dauterive getting his rushing TD record back at Arlen High e: lol that kind of came across harsh. This was a cool story when it happened. -
Could the Panthers beat Alabama?
The NFL Shield At Midfield replied to Carl Spackler's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is a cool little tidbit that I think people either forget about or weren't aware of considering the NFL's current status as a behemoth towering over all other American sports. Pro football was a curiosity and something of an experiment for the first few decades it was a thing. Teams folded and merged all the time, the league would barnstorm across the country playing exhibition games for exposure, and that kind of thing. -

Just saw that. RIP to a legend. -
People go on Reddit and make random predictions for clout all the time. A few years back some guy showed up on the Seahawks subreddit and said he had inside sources that they were going to trade for some guy. Lo and behold they did and that board hung on that poster's every word for a few weeks. Later it turned out he was a troll who had just made a lucky guess and was just fuging with them.

It's a fun hypothetical to entertain and all that but any pro OL would just blow a college DL 10 yards off the line of scrimmage and be able to run at will. Even the dudes on our crap starting line have been in the league for a few years, gotten pro coaching, gone through NFL strength and training programs, etc. It's not a fair fight. Alabama had 10 guys selected in last year's NFL draft, and that's a crazy number just by itself. 10 players from one team vs. 48 NFL players on an active gameday roster. -
2022 Opponents are pretty much set

Okay that Steelers game is going to be ugly. First of all they're going to pack the stadium with those dumbass towels. Second every time we play them they just beat the dog poo out of us. I don't see why it would be any different with Matt Rhule here. -

See I think the opposite. The Bucs have rolled us under Brady/Arians twice and they're coming off an embarrassing, completely uncharacteristic loss to the Saints. We're a bottom 5 team in the league right now and there's a log jam at the top of the NFC with Arizona losing last night. Bucs roll over us by 14 minimum imo. -

Strangers With Candy was a great series -
Yeah I was gonna say, two years ago Lamar Jackson led the league in touchdown passes and was MVP. If Tyler Huntley can top that then yeah all the more power to him I guess.

It happened with Matt Moore and Kyle Allen, really looked like we had something and then brrraaap I don't know what got in to Kyle on the back stretch of 2019. It was like we'd get to the red zone and a little voice in his head would tell him to throw an interception. The ATL and SF games were awful.

There's just something magical about QBs who get cut from this team. The league better hope Sam Darnold or Cam Newton doesn't end up in Washington somehow next year.

You could almost buy a championship back then. The NFL was also a much slower game and coaches got more time. Everybody knows the story of Dallas sucking out loud for the first few seasons Johnson and Aikman were there. I remember some dude who got drafted by the Bucs back in the 80s talking about how his high school had a better weight room than Tampa Bay. Also that he got a game ball on Sunday and then a bill in his locker for $50 on Monday.

He plays on a team with one of the better head coaches of the last 20 years backed by one of the strongest organizations in football with an entrenched culture of winning and competing for championships. This current Panthers team would only be elevated to mediocre if we had Lamar Jackson himself at QB, let alone Tyler Huntley. If Huntley went to Pittsburgh, Green Bay, or one of the other orgs that's good-great but cycling out their current QB that would be different. Or hell even a place like Denver or Seattle that's flawed but could rebound with smart FO moves.
