As to the OP…when you get past the 15 pick in the first in this draft you are already seriously debating if there are better football players than Bijan available. Lots of questions in that range IMO. There does come a point where he makes a lot of sense for some teams

If these teams ahead of us are smart they don’t take back a bunch of picks in this draft from the Panthers to move down. This is a weak draft and if I am taking calls from the Panthers I want premium players or very high picks like 9, 40 or next years best picks in return

I don’t disagree. I think CMC and Barkley are the top 2 RBs in the league and both have lost significant time with injuries. RBs just don’t last. They take too much punishment. Paying them big contracts on their second deal is a huge risk that tends to bomb I would definitely say CMC had a serious impact on San Fran last season. They won like every game once he played until Philly.

I don’t think we can get the #1 pick. If I am Chicago I am not moving down to 9. Just not. If we moved up twice then possibly but that would cost like everything. We need a player to drop to 3 to give us a chance to move up.

The Panthers clearly sat him for long periods of time when he technically could have played. There was no reason to risk him when we were losing like that. CMC is a great player, one of the best offensive players but I can’t disagree we didn’t get his best here.

I do like the player but I would rather spend that pick on DE or WR or even TE before RB. I agree we have needs elsewhere and our RBs weren’t the problem last year. Obviously this would mean we couldn’t move up and get our QB or went with Carr. I want the QB in a move up but we need a dance partner

He is worth a later first this year as this is a relatively weak draft. I do not think he is as good as CMC or Barkley. We have more pressing needs especially if we keep Foreman. If Bijan had that third gear speed he would probably be top 15. Thats the only knock

People on here hate RBs early and I do tend to agree but there is no doubt Bijan is crazy good. He doesn’t have blazing speed but overall he is special.

Here is my thing with Love…if he shoots 4-28 mostly taking bad shots the other team is going to rebound the ball. That is 24 empty trips. I don’t know how you can win like that. Dean used to sit guys for a half for taking 1 bad shot. Hubert just sits and watches the game. I know I am being a little over the top there but Caleb shoots this team to a win or completely destroys any chance for us.

True…Dean Smith was like Tony Bennett+++ with ridiculous talent everywhere. No wonder we ruled college basketball in the golden era for basketball. This is just street ball these days.

Normally I would agree on Hubert. The sick part is Bubba Cunningham gave him a new contract last offseason and is one of the most conservative ADs in sports. Feels like we are stuck with Hubert. Sadly. Bubba will keep him on as long as possible

Nance is a decent defender, not good decent. Other than that he isn’t doing anything. Yet, he plays ridiculous mins. It doesn’t make sense. Hubert really has to play the bench right now but he refuses to do it. He just isn’t a good coach. He does not see it.
