I merged them. I meant to have yours at the top but accidently did it backwards.

I mean, that's a no. And yeah, the Panthers knows exactly what he weighs. As does Bryce. If he bulked up, he would be tooting that horn.

How the Carolina Panthers found themselves in the worst situation

Bad. So bad Canales pulls a Vermeil and has open tryouts. I of course tryout and become the Panthers version of Vince Papale. I play all positions. Both ways. We continue to lose games but by significantly more points. Probably has something to do with the fact I curl up in a fetal position each snap and refuse to lineup within 10 yards of anyone. We secure the #1 overall pick thanks to my heroics. I lobby I should earn a slot in the Panther Ring of Honor. Tepper denies me but Tepper is an idiot. I return to the huddle to bash Tepper.

other mods keep a list of people that brown nose LG. We look to ban for punctuation errors and typos once you make that list.

I would assume the average age here is around middle age. Largely folks that came up w/ message boards. there is something more personal to calling the same no name people idiots for their take on Bryce Young vs some random on twitter you might never get to call an idiot again I guess.

That's why I make the Eli Manning analogy with Bryce. To me, that's be comparable in terms of leadership style. Eli grew but it was long and slow....and even at the end it just wasn't the textbook style you actually want from a franchise QB. The Giants managed to win 2 Super Bowls with that. But Eli was an average QB. He wasn't a tone setter. I don't think he people around him better than any other average starting QB would be doing. He was 1 of 11 largely.

well, we have had 2 good QBs IMO in Carolina. There leadership from the jump was pretty hard to not see. And they were very different themselves. I don't think a QB has to carry a team. I think good QBs to an extent have to be sort of the primary engine though. Think you can go about that different ways. I'd say Jake and Cam were both really tone setters. There was an energy and fire to both of them that mattered (pre- Tommy Jone Jake at least).

I'm pretty sure Zod does other online stuff these days. Where the kids and dolla dolla bills are at. Think he has spoken on that. I mean, this here is an ancient land.

If an owner hires bad people...and they do a bad job. That's still the owner. And often they do a bad job, because the owner is setting or not setting the table for how their job will look. That's why good and bad owners matter. for example, he hired Matt Rhule. Then he allowed Rhule to build a completely incompetent NFL staff with predictable results. Matt Rhule was a complete newb he didn't even know how to run a NFL practice. He then allowed Rhule to do things like hire an OC he had never been an OC on any level. So it becomes a series of bad marriages. Take Frank, a boring bland meh HC. A bad hire. What does Tepper do? Takes an old school set in his ways coach and forces him to go outside of what makes him bland yet competent. Makes him hire an OC from someone else's coaching tree. Forces a QB on him that doesn't pair with what he does. Now we got Canales, who no one even bothered to interview. I put this down the Matt Rhule path. Not as extreme. But you pair a newb HC with a newb OC with a newb/bad QB. And again, you got a QB that doesn't pair with what the coaching staff does. Tepper is bad because Tepper is the king of putting bad marriages together. Then bad things predictably happen. You should be pairing things that mesh together. Coaches and players (the ones the team is going to be tied to).

10/10. Would read again. pretty much. Overly involved bad owners have negative impacts. Sports and every other business. In this case, it prevents winning football.
-
to me, that's the sign the Panthers basically acknowledge on paper....they lost the trade. Looking for legit table scraps.

Nothing overblown about Tepper at this stage. Tepper has 5 seasons in the books as the Panthers owner. 5 different men have taken the field as our HC in that time span. Tepper has a soccer team. 3 years in. 3 different men have taken the field as their HC. Frankly, Tepper being in a small market with teams no one cares about..... gets less heat than someone in a different city would be getting.
-
yeah, Tepper most likely has been very involved in all of our bad trades. The constant. Because we have traded a lot of top players and capital. and general grade there is pretty bad.

I think the over/under on the Panthers this year is 5.5 wins. If they hit the over, I will be your hero.

Fitterer Joins Washington Commanders’ Front Office
CRA replied to Prowler2k18's topic in Carolina Panthers
it's the good old boys network.....in the NFL you can be horrific, and then go get a job in a different front office or coaching staff. -
It’s actually a light hearted fun interaction between the two…people being silly. Two Panthers GOATs. I don’t think people listen or read the exchanges based on the posts above. Oh well.

I thought finishing with the Creed song playing was pretty funny. But I understand, I'll stick with the greatest hits of bashing Tepper, Bryce, etc.

REPORT: Martavis Bryant has had contact with Panthers
CRA replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
but does he? I mean, if Jim Caldwell was paired up with Tepper to decide to hire Dan Morgan and Dave Canales.....who does he really report to. I wish Caldwell wasn't here or part of that. With all the surviving Game of Thrones talk and folks running to Tepper....I don't like the optics with Jim Caldwell. It's sort of hard to deny through the chaos he rose the Panther ladder. -
REPORT: Martavis Bryant has had contact with Panthers
CRA replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Makes sense...if he had never left the league he would already have a decade in the rearview. So physically even if he kept his head on his shoulders.....he is in the physical decline window. And that's all there was to bet on with him. Those physical tools. Nothing to bet on then. -

I didn't realize he was in the XFL this past year. Wonder how he did there. I mean, the dude was a freak. I thought he was out of football and thus way way out of shape. I mean, not saying we should, but if he has been playing he might be worth a camp tire kick for some team.
