  1. Factoring only their time as a Carolina Panther QB. 1. Cam Newton 2. Jake Delhomme 3. Steve Beuerlein 4. Kerry Collins 5. Sam Darnold 6. Matt Moore 7. Kyle Allen 8. Rodney Pete 9. Teddy Bridgewater 10. PJ Walker 11. Bryce Young 12. Derek Anderson 13. Baker Mayfield 14. Vinny T 15.. Frank Reich 16. David Carr 17. Jimmy Clausen 18. Chris Weinke not ranked are Heinke, Fasani, Lytle, St. Pierre as they all had 2 or less starts.
  2. PJ's completion % was 63% when starting games in Carolina. Which I believe is better than Bryce when starting. And again, 4-3 as the starter here and the LONE QB Carolina has been able to actually win with in the Tepper era. If you ask a gambling gunslinger to come into blowouts.....they are going to go down in a blaze of glory. Which he would do. Yeah, he isn't good. And gunslingers are supposed to have rockier stats than checkdown QBs. So....why does PJ Walker have a better comp % as a starter than Bryce Young. And for every knock you want to make about PJ, you can find something or a skillset that PJ does better than Bryce. I didn't say PJ had good field vision. He doesn't. Tell me about Bryce after he comes off the first read lol. Let me repeat, PJ Walker is not a good QB. He is NFL depth and an in house arm. Bryce Young doesn't belong in a convo w/ Jake and Cam. He belongs closer in a convo with the backup caliber QBs Carolina was forced into playing. Which isn't just PJ Walker. But Kyle Allen. Moore. Guys like that.
  3. Bryce Young hasn't cleared 200 passing yards in a single game in that window. Meanwhile, Rico Dowdle has put together the greatest 5 game stretch of rushing production in Panthers history. And RBs have sort of been our thing, so there is ample competition. This team hasn't been lead by Bryce Young in that stretch. Those wins are simplistically 3 things. Schedule, Rico, and defense.
  4. I mean, you didn't contradict anything. I've said he is a bad QB. We went 4-3 with PJ Walker as the starter. The lone human that we have managed to win around in the Tepper era. Sure, he is a bad QB and turns the ball over.....but I already said he was a bad QB. His ceiling of good is higher than Bryce. That's true. Better tools and more threatening. There bads are comparable. Bryce just can settle in to a level of non-threatening and nothing play that PJ can't. He is more non-stop rollercoaster riding. But again, PJ is more fun to watch....with a higher ceiling. The fact is, if you are to accurately talk about the QB tier Bryce falls in.....the PJ Walker, Kyle Allen, types come into the convo. Which says all you need to say about Bryce.
  5. I’m still riding with Ked Woodley as the GOAT Panther fan rapper
  6. PJ Walker is more enjoyable to watch than Bryce Young. And has a higher ceiling. How bad can it get with either? About the same. Young probably more consistently able to into the state of disappearing and not being a pro or a con. reality is, the fact Bryce Young has survived as bad as he is….means there is really no comp you can make with him
  7. You are correct. 2 weeks in his career and in both games to that put Carolina up by a game he played poorly. I would take the Joe Burrow ride all day long over Bryce. Same for Dak. It’s basically arguing what is more enjoyable…..the Richardson era or the Tepper era. The answer is easy
  8. In Young’s entire career, he has been able to boast of belonging to a team with a winning record for…….1 week. This week. you doing insane work here bruh. Gotta be boredom trolling at this point
  9. Going into the final drive of a NFL game....Bryce Young had 9 completions for 83 yards. In a NFL game. We shouldn't be talking about how "technically" QBs gets credited with GWDs......we should be talking about the absurdity of how the cast around Bryce is able to pull off wins with essentially nothing from the QB spot. Bryce is basically The Golden Calf of Bristol and his defenders are Skips.
  10. Brady is gone. There really doesn’t seem to be any real bad blood presently with us and a divisional opponent. Those were the staples of prior eras. probably Cowboys just because of Jerry. Everyone is basically the same. Eagles because of the tush push and KC because of Mahomes
  11. key difference is Bryce is better on his feet. the other massive difference, is what the investment in Bryce has afforded him in terms of chances and opportunity. I mean, look at Spencer Rattler. He went to the bench not because he showed less promise than Bryce (he is statistically better than 3rd year Bryce)……but the front office didn’t have all that egg on their face.
  12. I mean, he isn’t light years ahead of Jimmy. He is closer to Jimmy than Jake/Cam. Bryce is really more of the Kyle Allen-ish tier of Panthers QBs.
  13. CJ hasn’t been good this year…..yet still noticeably better than Bryce. Better comp %, yards, QBR, QB rating, etc
  14. Bryce Young is not an accurate passer. Thats not an opinion. I only care about deep ball passer if the Panthers run a scheme and O when it matters. And it matters in the Canales tree. Been talking about fit since the day he was drafted. He didn’t fit Frank. He doesn’t fit Canales.
  15. Yeah, proposing such a trade or it happening isn’t what that convo was about. He asked a question with a super easy answer. What would you prefer as a franchise. The question was answered. I realize Bryce Young competed 11 passes for 100 yards at a 50 something clip. Bryce doesn’t suck because I say so. He tells you. Our coaches tell you. And the standard we judge the play of the 31 other teams tells you. PJ Walker was 4-3 as a starter. By Bryce Young logic he was Tom Brady.
  16. Geno fits Canales and fits the O. It’s why Geno worked in Seattle and not Oakland. He is a deep ball passer. NFL is about fit. Geno would beat Bryce out in 2 weeks in a real camp battle. Which ain’t Geno praise. It’s just recognition Geno is a round peg and that is what we are lacking
  17. I understood. Again, give me Joe Burrow all day, every day and twice on Sunday over Bryce Young. Because when Burrow is ready to roll they are worlds apart. Joe Burrow elevates everyone around him and is a legit stud QB. Bryce Young ain’t winning games. Rico Dowdle and the Panthers have won multiple games in sort of anomaly fashion repeatedly in spite of having a backup caliber QB. In no scenario would I pick a backup caliber QB over Joe Burrow. I can just play a backup when Joe can’t go Burrow had lead the NFL in comp%, yards and passing TDs. A multi Pro Bowler. A postseason QB. An MVP candidate multiple seasons. No way in hell am I picking the Bryce Young Panthers era over that if given the choice of the two. this Bryce schtick is sad and whack. And a healthy % of the Bryce “hate” is just pushback on absurdity
  18. Wind is a seperate issue. it was the exact same route, throw, player and area as the other TD. Mirror image. They tried it again. and my comment isn’t even knocking Bryce. It’s Dave. Seems like a bad idea given the ask of XL. He has to beat his man so badly that he can cut around him/behind him. Or it’s them thinking they can fool the DB into a corner fade when it isn’t one. But why attempt that twice in the exact same spot with everything the same.
  19. Name of the game in Carolina to win is to minimize Bryce Young. See our wins. All of them. They tell a story.
  20. Carolina being forced to actually let Bryce throw sometime doesn’t mean he isn’t horrible. again, PJ Walker had a winning record in Carolina and a better highlight tape. PJ sucks. Bryce Young is a bad NFL starting QB. The Carolina coaching staff basically is screaming it at the Bryce defenders. We play the game how we have to because of Bryce
  21. As Micah Parsons said when questioned on why they didn’t take it to Bryce….Bryce Young had like 2 actual drop backs the entire game for a measly 100 yards. Which isn’t how you win the in the NFL. and Rico got them on the brink of FG position with that big run and Bryce wasn’t allowed to touch the ball after that. I mean, Bryce is treated like a backup QB. Simple as that. Pretty tough to argue that he isn’t at this point.
  22. Not playing devils advocate. The staff clearly has recognized you have to take Bryce out of it and Rico is our best chance to win. That play illustrates it. and all that window dressing most likely was not a Bryce Young original. But the thought process of a staff that knew Rico had to get the ball. it’s the never ending search of trying to make Bryce look good.
  23. I hate to break it to you…..but in the year 2025….the Panthers pass attack isn’t much more threatening or productive than Bryce’s rookie season. yeah, give me Joe Burrow 8 days a week lol it is a team sport. And you are highlighting the inverse. Naming non-weak links. Bryce is the weak link in Carolina and this season is probably the best evidence of it to date
  24. I mean, most likely this 78th degree chess move…..was the coaches/playcall. Not some Bryce Young experiment. coaches knew they wanted Rico and not Bryce to have the ball in their hands. So they went to great efforts to disguise it
