I'll side with good management of the NFL salary cap and roster management. David Tepper is fine. Brian Burns is fine. Both of them will finish their time with more money than a human needs or can use. Brian Burns could sign a deal today....and his kids and grandchildren should never have to work again.

Burns has already been offered guaranteed generational wealth. Even if fired.

Cam Newton walked into a better offensive environment than Bryce is by a large margin. Cam won 6 games while doing insane stuff as a individual. I just think people should sit back and enjoy Bryce Young learning and growing. Winning isn't what 2023 is about.

I mean, Peppers was sort of public enemy #1 around here for a minute. We were the dumped girlfriend. And even before that, Pepper caught a fair amount of criticism given the HOF numbers he was racking up here.

It's only a fair market price if you invent Burns into a great edge defender and not just a great pass rusher.

The Panthers have earned a top 10 pick in the draft, every year, for a half decade. I mean, we have been a bad franchise. That's where Bryce went.

I mean, there is always someone willing to do something dumb. Doesn't mean it's correct. And more times than not, stuff that looks really dumb often turns out to be that more times than not in the NFL.

I mean, I would assume all the other QBs drafted #1 overall were viewed as very special too. and even the made in a lab, most NFL ready Madden types like Peyton, Luck and Trevor lost opening week. NFL is hard.

You put a Duke QB in the same sentence as Maye simply because he scrambled and ran well yesterday while having frankly a weak game as a passer. Probably that.

Because we are Panther fans. Not Burns’ family. And ultimately want the team to do smart things vs just enrich people with the most possible money they can get from Carolina.

He has already made 14 mill. Panthers already offered him a deal he won’t signed that likely had between 40-50 million guaranteed in it. Chubb’s had 53 mill. So I’m being conservative for the argument. that’s generational wealth already in the bag and done…..he isn’t fighting for it.

I mean, I don’t know what you are really arguing at this point. Dabo doesn’t recruit but has a top 10 class every year. He is struggling with #1 overall QB prospects. He most definitely is recruiting elite talent. Then he isn’t getting it done. He coaches in the ACC. That just is what it is. 7 of the last 8 ACC titles is getting it done. A historic stretch is getting it done. and he has 2 nattys vs Bama. King Kong. Frankly, could have easily had a 3rd too with that first Watson matchup. I don’t know what your bar is. But it seems a tad unreasonable. But I get hating on Dabo/Clemson. Runs like they have been on are annoying in general and I fully understand why most of been wishing for the fall of it

Clemson is on a historic run right now. Something only 2 others programs have ever done. 12 straight double digit win seasons with a top 25 finish. With 2 nattys mixed in. ACC champs in 7 of the last 8 seasons (including last season) Not producing? Dabo is getting it done. What we are witnessing is essentially a comical exaggerated response to an opening week flop on the road. It’s sports. It happens.

Elite players do make coaches but it’s still the best roster in the ACC with the best coach. I feel no different about things than the last couple seasons.

You and a Paul Finnebaum going to stroke out if Dabo finds a way to 10-3 in the end. Clemson still got the best coach and roster in the conference.

Duke QB went 17/33 for less than >200 yards. I mean, he can run. He ain’t in the convo with those other QBs off that.

substantially more talented is debatable. We also are installing brand new scheme across the board on both sides of the ball..... and are trotting out a rookie QB. and while better coached, coached by a slow starter even when he has a vet under center. this is now a win now team and that i sbologna to put that on Young.

at least Dabo wasn't blaming the chain gang for eating a hotdog at halftime as the reason he lost. one of my favorite parts of Gamecock fans that have complained about Dabo all these years as a whinner.....is Shane Beamer is worse than Dabo. Hard to find someone after a loss that looks worse than Beamer.

that team doesn't exist anymore, nor does that schedule exist against teams that no longer exist. We weren't a good football team. That wasn't good football being played. Peyton Manning went 3-13 as a rookie. Just because you are mentally ahead of other QBs entering the league doesn't mean you are a win now football team.
