I don't know why WhoaCam is upset. It gives Colorado a chance to win a game and then boldly declare they are now the 3rd best team in the Big12

We need a defense. That should take a couple seasons. And we still need an explosive playmaker or 2 on O which I don't think we have. We don't need Tyreek Hill but we need someone that can turn a bubble screen into a TD. I think most good teams have that caliber offensive player on the roster. They can even be a niche roleplayer but we need some explosiveness to the pass game. To me XL, Coker, Saudners, AT, all represent similar type options in the pass game.

Colorado/BYU has a chance to be competitive and give folks what they want to see. Colorado can’t run their offense vs a good SEC front. Pointless bowl games are about trying to make some money.

Brady, Gronk, and Edelman were all together clowning what a horrible idea it would be for Bill to be a college coach on live TV yesterday. I’d probably listen to their collective advice if I was UNC

I wish you well installing the Patriot way in Chapel Hill. That just screams the reverse of what we know wouldn’t work at the pro level they would be well coached. I mean whoever is willing to put up with Bill would be.

I’m evaluating him off his return from benching….last 6 games check his last 6 vs the last 6 of Stroud, Richardson, Caleb and everyone young QB

Bryce has played where we realistically could be on a 5 game win streak and that with basically trash D and a weak supporting cast given their youth. That’s exactly what we want to see from him

That’s above their average of allowed yards. And he did with with a bunch of rookies and an old man.

Well, he was drafted in the top 10 which means featured 3 down RB….and he wasn’t built for that life when we drafted him. Good as a rookie but seemed to fit more of niche role than an every down RB. His rookie year he went down with relative ease when people got their hands on him between the tackles. which he realized and came into year 2 significantly bigger and stronger. Which made all the difference.

Exactly. Which might be the biggest difference maker of them all. That was actually something many questioned. He has done a 180 on so many visual things like body language that I feel are tough to fake in the moment. it’s frankly rare for any QB to rebound out of where Bryce found himself

As someone who has a been an entrenched member this season and advocating for the need to move on….I advised while largely dismissing his recent games for various reasons that I would officially reevaluate my position after the Eagles game. So as of today, I am leaving Bryce Haters Inc. While he does have some physical limitations that aren’t ideal in a created player on Madden….so have other Panthers like 89, CMC, etc. Not suggesting he will be as dominate but outside the box can work. I think Bryce post benching has made a clear cut change in willingness to throw certain balls, his confidence, and how he chocies to see the field of play. I do think the current guy, is largely what we all thought we would be drafting and developing. So I will throw my support behind that going forward and through whatever bumps he might see this year.

I already addressed the how. Canales has Bryce rushing to the line barely able to get a snap off over and over. Against a tough D. Well any D, that’s doing a poor job for your QB. other QBs like Cam have already addressed how unacceptable that is and how it makes life harder on the QB feel free to bash XL on his drops. But why don’t you care Dave makes life harder on Bryce than it should? We will play more games

I just hate we paired a QB trying to grow with a HC/playcaller that needs to grow. Days like today are why. You got Bryce finally in a grove and then he now has to deal with the greenness of the OC. Bryce pointlessly had to go from 4th and short to 4th and long on the final play. That’s Dave. And Dave was putting his young QB in rushed spots all game long of barely getting it off. Even the commentators had to comment on it.

I don’t think you even understand my point. Yall are defending Bryce like I’m criticizing him. Which isn’t being said. Bryce was ready to win a game today. Other people? Plenty not ready on the level of Bryce, Hubbard and AT today. and XL shouldn’t be the only whipping boy. I think Canales is clearly holding Bryce’s growth back now as he ain’t ready for what he is supposed to be doing.

I’m criticizing Canales. Not Bryce Young. Bryce Young played very well. I said early Philly would be the game I reevaluate my Bryce take. He cleared that bar and then some today. lot of people made Bryce’s life harder today. XL is one. Canales is another. So again, I’d like Canales to do a better job for his young QB. Cam bitched about the same thing in his career early on and it puts the QB in tougher spots.

Ok. Who said we don’t if he catches it? I want us to be competitive too. So I’d like Bruce Young not to be panicking to get a snap off over and over and over all game. I would assume the penalties and rush jobs don’t make things better and easier for him. So again, we play more games going forward.

Yeah, XL dropping a ball to win the game doesn’t change the fact Canales has Bryce Young going to line over and over with no time. Pretty sure we took several delay of games today INCLUDING that last drive to win it. more football games will be played after today. So the playcaller putting Bryce in bad spots is something we should care about. only caring about 1 play isn’t really how football works

So slow. Worst thing you can do for a young QB is having everything late and slow coming in. Bryce lives with the play clock about to expire

He is allowed lumps and growing pains. I still like his potential. He took a lot of big hits today.

Regular bowl games were meh when it was a 4 team playoff. They are just painfully bad in a 12 team college playoff format. I mean, why play any high value player. Sellers blows a knee for what? What is there to brag about at this point winning a non-CFP game. It can’t be used for recruiting. It highlights you couldn’t make a 12 team format and then it’s an exhibition with who knows who playing on either side. I think more and more high caliber kids that are basically pros at this point….start treating them like the Pro Bowl. As in nah, I ain’t risking injury.

Too much meh-ness this year. Generally the top teams are so good they can survive a bad day even if lesser teams have a good day. I don’t think these teams can.
