  1. Rivera is a different breed than Rhule. heck, there was a clip of Ron defending guys this past week after that fight on the sideline and it had a big reaction (positive). In reality, with Ron....I think a lot more matters than just football and his paycheck. And I think we all want to work for someone that sees that. I've been fooled before. But it remains a pretty safe bet Ron is just a really great person.
  2. Rhule's contract is small pototoes.....given David Tepper is trying to maximize the return in a NFL team and a MLS team. And if Rhule makes Tepper look incomptetent, which he does, that is going to impact the return he can make on BOTH his professional sport teams. and NFL contracts have offset clauses. So unless you are arguing Matt Rhule is going to retire for the next 5 years and not coach......Carolina isn't going to be on the hook for his entire contract anyway. I won't pay a nickel to watch Matt Rhule and Jimmy G waste our time in 2022. I won't be alone. And I won't support his MLS team because of that. And I would have if Tepper gave me a reason to support him. I alone am meaningless. But I won't be alone in that.
  3. Details how Tepper nor the players believe in Rhule. The only counter to that is a statement by Matt Rhule....that Rhule says people totally believe in him lol.
  4. HOF shouldn't just be about what the stats add up on a sheet at the end of the day. for example this post to a degree....suggests Vinny T and Russell Wilson are comparable. They aren't. Vinny T simply played in the NFL for 21 years. 21 years. London Fletcher isn't a better LB and more deserving of the HOF than Luke Kuechly. Cam was a uniquely dominant player. One that stands alone in the modern NFL. That's why he has a HOF arguement.
  5. I always use Dabo as the example. A legit great college coach. But he is a recruiter, culture guy, and motivator. And his formula wouldn't work on NFL players. At all. Would be silly to attempt it. I don't think it is so much about seeing through what Dabo does. But a 18 year old kid and 28 year old family man see everything different in life. Because life is drastically different for the two. In pros you basically just need a respected locker room guy ...who is a great in the moment game manager that excels at gameplanning week to week (X and Os).
  6. He signed an extention with Baylor and like 3 months later he signs a deal with Carolina.
  7. Matt Rhue is not a leader of men
  8. voters are largely all media guys. Media has been brutal to Cam since Auburn. It would take him a long time to get in and probably all the guys who covered him to no longer be voters IMO.
  9. Well, I would put him in because I don’t think longevity should carry tremendous weight. It’s why Megatron is a first ballot. It’s why I think Luke should get in with a short career. Cam has never compared to any QB in the modern era. He is the greatest rushing threat from the QB position in NFL history IMO. And Cam lead the era of the mobile college QBs being normalized in today’s NFL. So I’d put him in. But I won’t be shocked if he doesn’t get in. I wouldn’t put my money on it
  10. I don’t think 89 is a first ballot guy. But I’d love to hear the Andre Johnson argument of being a finalist over him. 89 has him in yards and TDs. 89 has his postseason resume and his special team resume all added on top of that. Andre Johnson has what? The best on field fight?
  11. I’d put him in. Too unique not to. But I also understand who votes. And those people have enjoyed trashing Cam since Auburn.
  12. It’s his verified Twitter but who cares. I mean I personally wouldn’t be liking that tweet where my wife could see it. That would be idiotic. But that’s Matt for you. *But I do be liking that tweet.
  13. Megatron walked away in his prime and had a short career. Not sure I could name 5 guys that were actually better though. it’s the Luke argument IMO. Should lesser LBs have an edge over Luke getting in simply because they grind out years Luke opted not to…and have 7 more years worth of stats over Luke? But never were even close to Luke as a LB?
  14. I’ve always felt Peppers would be the only first ballot guy in Carolina. I’d put 89, Cam and Luke all in though. As far as drafted guys.
  15. Rhule probably thought he was on his burner account. And I’m sure he has one.
  16. *89 has Andre Johnson in yards and TDs. Plus his pro bowl special team work. That’s a dig at 89 by voters just not liking the personality. Wayne and Holt got rings and previously were finalist. So they aren’t as big of deal but Johnson?
  17. Sam Mills and Jared Allen are finalist 89 didn’t make the cut. 3 first year guys did make the cut. Ware. Hester. And…….Andre Johnson. Holt, Wayne, Johnson are the 3 WRs. Hester too but we all know he is a ST HOFer. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nfl.com/_amp/finalists-for-pro-football-hall-of-fame-class-of-2022-revealed
  18. I can't get over this one. This is like Rhule saying we had an excellent pass attack earlier this season. This staff is literally just making up stuff and acting like people can't see.
  19. Peppers statiscally might be the GOAT by a fair margin as is....if you look at the position from a well rounded aspect. Because he is top 5 in basically everything. The others aren't.
  20. I don't want new uniforms under Matt Rhule. Probably get this in neon orange
  21. Peppers is top 5 all time in sacks, forced fumbles and INTs by a DE in NFL history. If it was a tracked stat then you probably could add FG blocks too. hard to call him underachieving. He simply had the same demeanor that DJ Moore has. And people see that and claim that must mean less effort than a guy that shows emotion. Peppers is our hall of fame lock by a large margin
  22. It’s not protecting Cam. It was discussed when we signed Cam about how Rhule likely would burn him in the end. Because Rhule didn’t want him. can’t wait for Cam to one day retire. Take off his professional hat. And keep it a buck.
