I mean it was 17-0 after a quarter of play. It was a shutout at the half. The game dictated pretty early how that game should be called. part of the reason CMC had a good game is PJ allowed them to run more of the playbook than if you put Cam out there all game. it continues to not actually be about PJ when PJ’s name comes up as needing work right now. You would give him snaps so more could be done. That means so other plays can do more too. Like CMC. You start Cam. Cam likely isn’t ready for 4 quarters yet. And that is okay. And if it wasn’t Ron, I’d throw him out there with a small package for 4 quarters.

Today? Yes. PJ presently has a significantly better understanding of the playbook…..and therefore can run more plays than Cam. Plays that barely involve him too. And he has the ability to communicate to everyone on the field and audible at the line. Which he did often last Sunday. Cam has been here 5 days. No one is happier to have Cam back than me. I’m also don’t want Rhule to screw Cam over. Again, it’s 5 days. The OL still sucks. And you need a lot of the playbook to get around the fact the OL sucks.

Deangelo Williams and Gary Barnidge on Cam and yesterday's game
CRA replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, when talking about rings, wins and to an extent points. A historically great defense that existed for a huge part of his career is a relevant part to the Russell Wilson story. but again, he is a HOF QB. -

How many WRs were actually better players than Calvin Johnson? Lot of people had better careers. But they weren’t better. It’s not just career stats that determine how good someone is at football. -

Wilson also played with one of the greatest defenses in the history of the NFL. And a lot of his success and accomplishments are tied to the situation he was in. He is a HOFer though regardless. I don’t considering him superior. I consider his situation superior to Cam’s. -

Cam always faces incredible hate. From college, to day one of the NFL, through his entire NFL career... HOF consideration would be more of the same IMO. I mean, look who votes for it. Same type people that have always loved to kick Cam. -
yep, PJ has done his job twice. Sam has imploded those type ideal situations. If your options for backup are only PJ or Sam? PJ.

I thought you said he was just an average QB. So now you have at least moved the bar up to not a HOF QB? I'll take that I guess. and when his career is done, there might be a HOF arguement. Again, he would be unique in terms of QBs and will have done things that will sit in the record books likely for decades and decades. Cam was the true start of a new era in the NFL. And that might get properly acknowledged later down the road pending how his career ends. -
we cut him. we eat the cap hit. Sam serves no purprose here. That's the cold reality of the NFL.

Cam has the 9th best career ypc in NFL history. It's not like his career is a highlight reel of 1 yard dives. I broke it down a long time ago when people falsely claimed Cam was basically just a 1 yard TD vulture. Facts didn't back it then. I don't have the energy to prove that isn't the case again. -

and he has 72 rushing TDs. Which somehow don't count in the NFL. Which is the most in NFL history by a QB. There is only one ball and one endzone. So he would be a better QB if he simply scored all his TDs in your preferred manner. -
NFL Pro Bowl Voting is open. Which Panthers are on the list?
CRA replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
Reddick the only unquestionable guy right now. He is the NFC sack leader and playing on fire. Pro Bowl requires either great stats or your name carrying over from prior seasons. Time on the field is presently working against a couple of our guys. CMC, Shaq, Gilmore. -

Cam Newton is easily a greater short yardage threat than any of them. It isn't really close. Because Cam has a blocking advantage in the run game over a traditional RB....and the opponent still has to play the pass. You need one yard. Cam is the toughest threat. It is what it is. lol at Emmitt Smith. Cam is 6ft 5 in and a genentic freak on top of the above. -

You simply choose to ignore and deem irrelvent everything about Cam that made him elite and special...to diminsh him. Throw all his passing TDs out the window for a minute and deem them void. One player has found the endzone more than Cam in Carolina history without his passing TDs. 1. And Cam likely jumps him this year. Cam is a monster. To dismiss all that he brings for your arguement, that you have to play like Tom Brady or it doesn't count, is utterly silly. -

well, again, running between the tackles was the mark of a RB. Stopping the run was the mark of a LB. TEs were largely blockers. But players evolve. The game evolves. Cam might of been an average passer. But he was also a uniquely dominant runner. One that is unique in NFL history. A dominant game changer and again, remains the most dominent short yardage threat/option in NFL history. He was never an average player. -
Well, they did manage to beat Tompa Bay last week. So they can at least put something together. Ron knows every blitz, coverage, look Cam struggles with. He knows his tendencies when a play breaks down. The throws and runs he likes. I think that is why you have to work PJ in and not have a play and audible handicapped Cam playing all 4 quarters.
-
well, that was still Matt Rhule's team. He couldn't coach around Sam Darnold enough to beat a bad Giants team that was basically missing everyone. I still don't think losing to Ron would be as bad. And Ron knows Cam Newton better than any coach in the NFL. Matt Rhule IMO could put Cam in a bad spot. You can't put Cam out there for 4 quarters running simple stuff, not having legit audbile ability, etc vs Ron Rivera.
-
I mean, we lost to the Giants. Losing to Ron wouldn't be as bad as the Giants game.

well, he has been around since 2008. So he isn't a new account. Hopefully, it was just poor communication and he will be in touch with you shortly. -
$100 adoption fee for my pit mix outside of basic shots she is in perfect health. every mix I have ever had has had great health. everyone else in my family has expensive pure breed dogs. All sorts of health issues. They spend small fortunres on the their dogs healthcare. but my dog is dumb as a box rocks. I guess that is the trade off. Their dogs have been easier to train and are better behaved.

what kind of dog?

NFL teams are basically mom and pop shops. They aren't run like fortune 500 companies. So really all ownership meddles to some degree.

Well, Tepper let Rhule come in and do what he wanted. That's what you do when you pay a HC mega bucks. So Tepper did what he was suppose to do there at the time. Just like he did what he had to now IMO. If Cam was all Matt Rhule and Tepper is hands off. Why is Cam flying in and going right to Tepper's house to see if this thing will work. Matt Rhule wasn't part of that acutal party. And then Cam emerges from Tepper's house all in fixing the shitshow.
