Don't know. Tampa fans don't invade BOA as much as some other fanbases. But it could look that way with all the empty seats. Or maybe a decent percentage of Panther fans show up because it is possibly Cam's last game and the fact you could see Tom Brady's last go at it all.

Eternals was a weird one for me. Didn't love it. Maybe it was the Game of Thrones cast messing with me and the fact I don't think Angelina belongs in Marvel. I loved No Way Home. Felt a bit like End Game. Which is they flat out put a lot of forced stuff in so fans could check off certain boxes off their wish list. But I'm cool with that every once in awhile. I'm probably a slightly bigger fan of the Disney TV shows of late than the Marvel movies. Hawkeye, Loki, Wanda > Black Widow, Eternals, No Way Home.

it's impossible. No decent OC is going to come here for a lameduck 1 season to get paired with Sam Darnold. That's how you damage your stock as a coach.

Yeah, because to an extent they are rebuilding the offense. Cam isn’t a long term add. They drafted a first round. And yeah, Cam is too big of a personality for a young QB to deal with. That’s not a knock on Cam.

and yet inbetween that….Cam won 7 games with the Patriots with what was the worst roster in all of the NFL last year. but NE has good coaching. The problem right now isn’t Cam. It’s Matt Rhule’s created shitshow.

Panthers first owner was in the NFCCG in year 2. He hired a NFL guy to be the HC. Tepper literally said the league is designed for everyone to be .500. What you do above or below that is your front office and coaching staff.

Those are all scramblers though. That isn’t Cam. Cam is just in a weird category all alone. There just isn’t a comp IMO to Cam. Makes him hard to judge vs others. and there probably won’t be another. His TD record probably will be there for eternity unless we see the rules go to kill the pass. Which I don’t see. Ever.

I think Russ played on significantly better teams. He played with a historic defense. I mean, if Cam played with the LOB? Russ wouldn’t of had the same success here.

Yes he did. He drafted them. You can’t claim Ron had the luxury of guys he acquired….and use that as a defense of Matt Rhule. Ron wanted Cam and Luke. Matt Rhule thought Sam + a luxury CB somehow was good math over building something. And again, he traded away building block draft picks in that math equation. Which makes it horrific math. Ron earned a year 3 because he was at least building something. He had the players and finishes to prove it. Rhule doesn’t. That’s on Rhule. *no disrespect to Horn.

Rivera didn’t have the luxury of having a generational QB and LB. They weren’t inherited. Rivera went out and acquired them. And Cam wasn’t a no brainer add. Lot of coaches don’t take Cam. Cam only moved up to the viewed #1 when it became clear Rivera and Carolina were willing to go that route. He made those moves. Just like Rhule acquired Sam Darnold and a bunch of Temple/Baylor guys.

He broke the rookie passing record when he stepped foot in the NFL. And has comparable passing yards to Warner, Aikman, Young, etc. and yeah, he didn’t play like them. He was a legit dual player. Guys that can’t pass don’t have those numbers. did he get hurt? Did that alter his game and career? Make him a worse passer? Yes.

You are selectively comparing him to his peers. He didn’t play the game like them nor was he tasked with the same load as them. Cam is a unicorn.

judging Cam only by his passing is a similar thought experiment of only evaluating CMC only by his rushing.

Yes and the holes are getting bigger the more time Rhule has been here. At the most important spots. and again, under Rhule we made CMC the highest paid RB, paid his Temple WR more than a lot of legit 1s are making and traded away the bulk of our draft picks next year… that’s not how you build a NFL team. That is putting yourself in a hole you are creating. and on top of that Rhule has laid out no vision, no identity and inspires the opposite of confidence. Seems to clearly lack the ability to judge talent at OL and QB. Sam Darnold as the masterplan lol? And botches game management. Whether that is going for 2 when 1 is the correct call or punting from the opponents 30. And no team in the NFL dials you worse situational calls based on down and distance than Rhule’s team. And the final nail in the coffin and his team’s get worse as the season goes on. There isn’t an actual argument to keep him. Just saying he needs time isn’t one when all the above exists.

Totally agree that Urban being a once in decade type shitshow that there are no words for has really aided Rhule. In a normal year, Rhule’s clown show would be being blasted all over the nation. Could probably throw Gruden and the pandemic in there too. So many things you just don’t see often are aiding Rhule and keeping his name out of people’s mouths. He has been a joke. And what a joke he became clear this past off-season. Probably a decent dude. But he is clearly in over his head. We don’t have the years to give him to learn all the on the job training he clearly needs at this level. Matt Rhule belongs in the Big East

Our holes are growing at the most important spots. QB, OL and coaching staff. Cupboards are more empty now than ever at these spots. In addition to that, we have sunk pointless money into the RB and WR spot under Rhule. Rhule made CMC the highest RB in the NFL. Horrible move for a “rebuilding team”. His Temple WR is paid more than Adams, Diggs and a host of actual #1 WRs. He traded away the bulk of our next draft class. That’s not how you build anything. arguing in favor of Rhule is just sunk cost fallacy or being a contrarian for the sake of it.

Lot of truth to it. Impossible for a coach standing on a sideline to have a clue about what actually happens in detail on any play. Especially in the trenches. There just isn’t visibility.

Goes back to Cam post game answer. Cam also made Rhule look bad there imo. Talked about how he wasn’t going to spout off irrational answers or something like that right after a game. That’s what Rhule did. Why he needs to watch the film.
